He should be fired. Being paid over 200k to ignore the law is a reason why this state needs judicial reform. I never thought about the comment below about his racial bias, but now that it is pointed out to me, I can fully agree. It is known in the community. Just do us all a favor Freeland, retire and appoint someone else who would love to earn 200k for a job that you disregard all logic

Comments:
He's very racist. Minorities and people of color, whether attorneys or litigants, he's prejudiced. Look at his rulings for each minority lawyer that isn't white. He always rules against them. If you don't believe me, go to an actual hearing and view for yourself or look at past rulings. I've seen many cases and attorneys with great cases and legal authority fully on their side which Freeland disregards primarily due to color or race.

Get him off the bench. White power must come to an end.

Comments:
Judge Freeland is deliberate and does not make impulsive rulings. In private practice he was insurance defense attorney but he does not demonstrate a bias on the bench. He was transferred to civil bench because he did not grant prosecution's every wish and therefore was routinely challenged by DA office.

One of the last very fair judges who takes the time to carefully read your papers and is prepared with very pointed questions.

I have observed, Judge John D. Freeland in 6 different cases, from eviction, civil harassment, small claims...etc.. From the cases I have observed, he asks questions, and likes the answers to be short sweet and to the point. I have seen him empty the court room from everyone involved in the case, an have the witness come in one by one, he will ask questions, or have the people act out the situation, use court room objects as the object involved. I have seen him go to his chambers and make a decision, and also make a decision later that day, where it comes in the mail. Each decision, was through, and worked out....very fair...very polite...but direct, don't go to the left or the right...He is FAIR, very punctual, with options.
