Even if the DA does not request bail, she will set it. She does not care about the facts. A few years back, PD and DA office both were 170.6ing her.

When Elswick takes the bench she acts as though she is Judge Judy making mocking comments on the record about the defendant to the audience to get laughs and snickers. She goes out of her way to remand clients, always find them in violation and then smiles as she tells her bailiff to take them away.

She cares more about her God awful makeup and fake lashes then to hear from defendants. She needs to be papered out of Alhambra.

This judge is awesome! She had a very pleasant disposition. Judge Elswick was thoughtful, considerate and evenhanded.

I look forward to appearing in her court again.

This judge shouldn't be a judge. She has poor judgment and can't tell when things are different than what she perceives. She's also racist towards white woman and men. She should be taken off the bench. It is a sad day when someone of her low caliber sits on the bench. God help us all.

Rude to defense attorneys and mean to clients. Gave me so much trouble while I was pregnant that the baby's stress test would be off on days I appeared in court.

Judge Elswick, in West Covina the past 7-8 years, is abusive to defense attorneys. She demands accommodation for the court and exerts pressure for this end yet does not extend the same courtesy, even in simple pre-trial matters. She is a hanging judge who goes out of her way to suspend driver's licenses and send letters to other courts to violate defendants' probation. She is unpleasant, unprofessional, and downright mean.
