Going to court I expect a well seasoned person who is able to see through the lies. Judge Winn does not possess these qualities his behaviors as a layman prejudice for men over women no professionalism. The world will be a safer place for children when he steps down or is thrown out.

If you are a self-represented party and appear in front of judge winn, your request, regardless of your position and argument, will be denied without explanation. He is incompetent, has very little legal knowledge, and is not fit to decide what to have for lunch, let alone any legal matter.

This was the first appearance before Judge Winn who admitted he was unfamiliar with the case but then proceeded to belittle and shame the mother in court. I was shocked to read another comment on this site that claimed he is condescending to women. This was exactly what I witnessed as well. Strong documentation was provided and presented from professionals that were appointed and requested -by the court- and Judge Winn dismissed all of it. Judge Winn re-traumatized a victim in a most demeaning manner. He failed the children involved and refused all requests for a return to mediation, trial or return hearing. He absolutely closed any and all avenues to a responsible parent and instead fueled and justified the unemployed, narcissist parent who was documented by therapists as being the greatest detriment to the children. Judge Winns sexism is evident as is his lack of professionalism and thoroughness in such meaningful matters as family law.

Sad to say that when one incompetent judge makes a decision even if that decision was erroneous or without merit, the judges stick together. The system is flawed.judge Winn is unfortunately a judge of this caliber. I can't say he is fair or unfair but simply easily swayed based on his colleagues inability to appropriately make a judgment.

I have been before Judge Winn for two different children. Both times he has admonished the party providing strong evidence and is condescending to women with confidence. Both rulings have put the children in continued harm. He should be removed for his lack of thoroughness in these proceedings.

In this challenging assignment, Judge Winn is trying to instill stability and integrity in the Sacramento Probate Court.
The Court needs a second Judge to handle the caseload. The greedy, unethical attorneys have gone unchecked for too long; its time to put them in their place.

I'm not sure about the other comment, but I have won just about every bail reduction motion in front of Winn, having bail reduced on many times below schedule (provided I have a good presentation of argument/facts). I also won a hotly contested Romero motion, which saved my client 9 years. Winn seemed interested in resolving cases at the SCR level. He seems fair and open to hearing out the defense much more so than other judges on the Sac County bench.
