A poor mediator. Acted like an indifferent judge in settlement discussions. Did not connect with my client at all. Did not help the reconcilliation process. Did not thoughtfully discuss the case with client. No empathy. Knocked in before mediation, then held opening session in court room and sat on the bench, spent little time with my client and was irritated that things were taking too long. We need masgistrates to go to mediation training and act like private mediators. Otherwise, we are better off with a private mediator. Was very disappointed in this judge's mediation skills. Will not mediate with this judge again.

This magistrate judge is not careful, quick to criticize, and not evenhanded. She misses filings, misses grounds in motions, and takes it personally when objections are made to her recommendations. She also does not follow the federal rules or briefing deadlines, (at least for some people).

Wants to micro-manage. Probably well-intentioned but can't see the forest for the trees in a case. She involves herself in many issues that could better be handled by the lawyers in the case. Also, can get overly emotional at times.

All around poor judge. Her rulings were more likely to be erroneous than not. Pointlessly nasty temper. She openly told me that she didn't want to have to read prelim injunction papers that contained complicated scientific evidence. She finally did, but clearly didn't understand a word.
