Judge Wilkerson is a fair judge. It is a real pleasure to appear before him. He is even-tempered, thoughtful, conscientious, and a hard worker.

Comments:
Judge Wilkerson is arguably one of the fairest judges in the federal system. He follows the law impartially; he applies the Constitution with the rigor it demands; he's talented at helping parties settle cases; and although he is a former prosecutor, he displays no pro-government bias. If every judge presided like he does, litigation would be less costly and more predictable, benefiting everyone except the knavish purveyors of frivolous strike suits. He's a boon to the rest of the bar and to the public at large. Bravo, Judge!

Comments:
Due to my multiple experiences before Judge Wilkerson, I have seen how he handles many different matters--criminal and civil. I find him to be even-handed, highly capable, and concerned about making informed decisions. I have witnessed no instances of bias towards either plaintiff or defense, on either the criminal or civil side. He is a master in bringing sides together for settlement even if it takes a long time, but won't waste time where there is no hope. Overall, he's an excellent choice for a magistrate.

Antiquated in his ways applies clearly out of date laws to modern issues, over all a dinosaur who's sentenced innocent people because of this. In my opinion he should step down and let a newer magistrate with a more modern and up to date education in before ruins anymore lives.

I found him to be pretty well informed on the subject matter. Unbiased in decision making and a good choice for the position. He makes a great choice for judge.

Not well informed. Very pro-plaintiff bias.

Comments:
Magistrate Wilkerson is jovial in conferences, even-handed on the bench, and austere in his written orders. He seems a bit disinterested though when it comes to discovery disputes. Which means the holders-out flourish in pre-trial.
