Judge Dorr is quite content to ignore controlling precedent and on-point federal law. It is shocking the arrogance with which he finds federal statutory law unconstitutional as applied but doesn't declare the law itself unconstitutional - If you are civil defense lawyer you will have no better friend without regard to the facts or the law!

This judge seems to be involved with supporting and condoning criminal activity in the judicial system. He allows cops to commit atrocities of justice without holding them responsible for the crimes. His rulings are baised for city and government employees. Does not hold police liable for U.S. Constitutional violations.

Injustice and corruption by the judicial system breeds contempt and resistance by the people. This statement he does not understand and therefore adds to the judicial atrocities, and discredits the whole judicial system. His rulings and verdicts are anything but honorable in most cases....

He did not look at medical records and sentenced someone who was very ill for a minor crime. That person died less then 4 weeks after his sentencing. The family had wrote only asking for him to be placed in a medically appropriate center because they could see how ill he was and was brushed off. So a 5 year sentence ended up as death because this judge did not look at the multiple medical records from hospitals and the jails. The man who he sentenced was so weak that he was unable to stand at trial or even talk so he can not say he did not see.

Judge Dorr is the ablest of all of the judges on the Western District. He carefully researches decisions and is even-handed. He keeps a very tidy docket. He is not scared to grant dispositive motions if appropriate, but he certainly recognizes when a plaintiff has a legit claim. If a claim is meritorious, he encourages settlement, but he doesn't push it. He works very hard, and is very accessible. His clerks and other office staff are helpful. If you draw Judge Dorr, you have drawn the best of the best.
