Schneider is overtly mysogonistic. If there was an effective way to raise this issue within the federal judiciary hierarchy, I would but there is not one. Women lawyers, watch out when before Schneider. I do find when you push back, he immediately retreats. I think he knows he has a problem.

I am not court staff but an independent transcriptionist but I didn't want to click "other." I have been making a living typing court cases for 15 years and get cases from NJ Federal Court and and Eastern District of PA Federal Court. Certainly I do not possess a law degree, but I have been listening to judges for a long time and I think Judge Schneider is excellent. I see him as very fair, intelligent, has an excellent command of his courtroom (not all judges do), and makes smart decisions it seems fairly quickly, but not so fast as to not have put thought into the decision. I find him to be extremely well spoken, which of course makes my job much easier. It's not the judge that there's a problem with, it's the Liberty system this court uses to record its hearings. The quality is terrible and this is the only court that does not provide logs to let you know who is speaking, which is a problem, as the judge does many phone conferences in complex litigation. This always means a multitude of lawyers on the phone, and it becomes difficult to know who is speaking. I find the judge easy going but not a doormat, and he is very fair to both sides. The only problem with this court is the horrible Liberty system. Too bad no one in the court is aware of how bad this is compared to every other court out there.

Maybe I caught this guy on a bad day...OK, on a whole series of bad days. Judge Schneider is obviously intelligent and seems to work hard, but he does not have much of a judicial temperament. My opponent realized that there was little downside to being obstinate on issues of scheduling, coordination, cooperation, etc., because Schneider was going to come down on both sides equally.

I have had the pleasure of appearing before him on numerous occasions and have always found him to be very fair and reasonable. He is also always eager to assist with regard to settlement and has assisted in resolving several cases that I have had before him. Any time I have a matter assigned to him as the Magistrate, and my adversary is in agreement, I consent to him proceeding over the matter.

While slow and deliberate, in the cases I have had before him, His Honor has shown an ultimate ability to narrow down the isseus and parse them in a scholarly, as well as practical, fashion. He is quite competent in complex civil matters and with time on the bench has grown into a magistrate that (while I not always pleased with his decisions) gives me confidence that civil discovery will ultimately proceed even-handedly.

kudos to His Honor for having the temerity to press forward on the case against Mr. Obama's qualification and standing to sit in the chair of POTUS... finally a representative of the people in the judiciary system who realizes the importance of the CONSTITUTIONAL issue. thank you thank you thank you.
