All preceding comments are on point. And those are all anonymous lawyers. Speak to your colleagues. The best single word to help you understand Her Honor: Surly. meaning: 'Rude, aloof. Used to describe someone who considers themselves better than others, and treats others as if they aren't even worthy enough to tie his/her shoes.'

Has forgotten what it is like to try a case. Somehow made it into the courthouse during Hurricane Sandy and criticized her clerk for not doing the same.

I have had a number of experiences in settlementg conferences with Judge Sitarski. She appeared to have little interest in the merits of the case, and instead seemed to be concerned only with what settlement figure she could reach. Also, not a fan of her demeanor, which I would describe as surly, dismissive and disrespectful

Had a settlement conference with Judge Sitrarski -- she was prepared, likeable, good with clients and worked toward getting the case resolved.
