Over 1000 pages of and appeals brief and this judge and his colleagues answered and decided in less than a 2 weeks. I GUARANTEE THIS JUDGE DIDN'T BOTHER READING THE CASE AND RULED BECAUSE HE LACK THE COURAGE TO RIGHT A WRONG. FROM THE AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE WHO WAS WRONGFULLY CONVICTED OF A CRIME HE DIDN'T COMMIT. AND DIDN'T HAD A FAIR OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD. EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS TREMENDOUS EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THE FACTS AND HIS EXPERT WITNESSES WHO WROTE AFFIDAVIT ON HIS BEHALF WAS TOTALLY IGNORED. In response to the other commentator on here, you say he applies powerful intellect and reality to cases. So powerful intellect and reality called for a 150 year jail sentence for Bernard Madoff? No. That was populism and unmistakably got him elevated to the 2nd Circuit when Judge Chatigny's nomination floundered. 150 years, no matter the amount of damage, for a non-violent offense underscores American exceptionalism when it comes to punishment.

As Judge Chin once claimed in a NYT interview he just imposes sentencing as if he is rolling the dice. He is not a courageous judge and since he is at the top of his career now, reaching the Supremes is unlikely, he will hopefully realize that the criminal justice system is entirely broken and not pick and choose who he wishes to burn.

Judge Chin is as unbiased as they come. He truly wants to get it right and will stand up to the entire Circuit if necessary. Applies powerful intellect and reality to cases.
