Comments:
Reasonable in scheduling issues. That's where the praise ends. Easily swayed by counsel argument regardless of the law and precedent.

Civil Litigation - Private

He does something no Judge should ever do, he shows a clear preference for one side without understanding or looking at the facts

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: 33596
Rating:9.3
Comments:
Very reasonable and respectful of private counsel demands. Sees through puffery by counsel and seeks to get to the core issues quickly.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: 23195
Rating:6.4
Comments:
Magistrate Baxter is reasonable with scheduling orders and appreciative of the needs of private practitioners. He is generally affable and not unduly strict, and generally hits it down the middle, but he tends to show some bias in favor of municipal defendants.
