I wrote the comment above but I have to pull it. He got a dispositive motion from the defendants at 4:40pm and decided it in their favor at 8am without even letting me brief it. He doesn't rely on the law, he is citing to the transcript of the lawyers and saying, "You told me that the filing would be X pages when it turns out to be Y pages," like a silly 5th grade schoolgirl. This whole District and Circuit remind me of junior high school where there was a small yellow bus that took all the dummies somewhere to learn welding or lawnmower repair. That's the type of people I am seeing in this sh*thole.

I am from Chicago (Northern District Illinois) so I only have one case in front of him, but he seems fair, intelligent, and logical. He has read the documents and knows the case, and seems pragmatic, let's lawyers make their case, and is neutral. Not an amazing sense of humor on the bench but the atmosphere is more formal than Chicago anyway. Overall would be glad to have him be the judge for the whole case but it got assigned to Moore.
