Comments:
He is truly qualified for the position and extremely conscientious. I hold him in the highest regard. He remembers the difficulties of juggling clients as an attorney and does not yank lawyers around. Very serious about punctuality and proper courtroom decorum and attire.

Defense oriented, but will respond to sound legal argument. Extremely punctual and formal. Was (courteously) told that my tie was not knotted straight.

This judge presided over the wrongful termination trial of Firefighter David Davis who was the president of Local 3668 in Phenix City, Alabama. What FF Davis did was to take advantage of Phenix City Mayor Jeff Hardin's "open door policy to promote open discourse" by calling the Mayor off duty to tell the Mayor the union would oppose extending a FF's probation from 1 year to 18 months. When the Mayor mentioned the call to Fire Chief-"no free speech on my watch"-Wallace Hunter, he went ballistic and began procedural moves that led to the termination of FF Davis. During the trial, Judge Albritton purposely hindered the defendant's case by dismissing the City Manager and Fire Chief as defendants although these two were directly responsible for the firing. It should also be noted that in 18 years on the bench this judge has never ruled in favor of a public employee in a First Amendment free speech or free association case. Again, FF Davis called the Mayor while OFF DUTY as a private citizen!! As IAFF 14th District VP Danny Todd stated, "We're spending billion of dollars to promote democracy across the world with the war in Iraq, but we have no democracy here in Alabama." Get it...NO FREE SPEECH!
