Civil Litigation - Private

Rating:5.8
Comments:
As a female litigator who has argued before Judge Harington on numerous occassions, I completely disagree that he has any problem whatsoever with women litigants. He is not academic at all, but has a great deal of common sense. He is not afraid to say that he needs to be educated on an area of law, but I view this as a positive. He has been very engaged in oral arguments. He has on occasion asked questions that showed he had not fully read all the papers before he came out on the bench, but he asks very probing questions during argument and lets counsel have ample time to make their points. He is good at getting to the nub of things and not being taken in by 'clever' arguments.

Lazy, doesn''t bother to study the subject matter, favors corporate litigants, unfair, unethical, has a sever problem with women litigants, allowed an outrageous statement from a corporate defendant that he is about to be awarded a Nobel Prize.

We won in front of the guy. But he's lazy (often deciding motions just by writing a single word on the papers) and very, very uninformed.

Old, lazy, and unable to grasp the key elements of a case.
