During a preliminary divorce hearing(I was the petitioner) our one hour was totally allowed for the defendant. I was near death, he would not allow my attorneys to ask for equal time for me to speak. I was thrown out of my home. He allegedly has retired right after that.I was dragged through a 3 year divorce. I lost more than my material family belongings. The defendant proceeded to throw me and therefore I am no longer able to walk without a cane. Surgery. Order of protection. Never able to return to my home to claim my PSA sole and separate property. This judge was bought by the defendant’s attorney. A family friend! That attorney has a negative history a mile long. Judge Rea is most definitely biased toward the man. I am 73. Not even allowed to keep my dogs.

I was a victim of domestic violence of which case I was almost murdered and he apologizes to the offender and says he doesn’t need to pay child support because of the felonies he now carries because I called the police. I didn’t call the police my mom did because he left me lifeless in a pool of blood when she found me with my 3 month daughter in the other room and he fled the scene assuming I was dead. He says I’m not to speak in court, never has documents pertaining to court served or sent to me, the judge refuses to accept any of my city of Phoenix police department certified documentation as proof, he gives the offender legal advice in court, everything that he does is illegal and I note see many appeals cases filed and I’m standing up for myself because his actions are unjust and wrong.

Judge Rea either doesn't know the law or he feels he doesn't have to follow it. In a somewhat complex case involving post-decree separate property, Judge Rea took months to understand the basic concept that Family Court has absolutely no jurisdiction, even when presented with a pre-trial brief citing case law, including AZ Ct of Appeals and AZ Supreme Court decisions that were directly on point. This is one stupid or arrogant man who should never be close to a court, much less on a bench judging others.

Appears to be pro per dad friendly, and not willing to enforce even his own orders despite blatant disregard for such by litigant.
