Judge Matthias is a very good judge, he is very patient and makes you feel welcomed in his court. He seeks justice and peace between the parties. He is very intelligent and knows how to read people. This judge is a good and fair judge. My only complaint is that he would grant TRO with no evidence whatsoever and then the hearings would always be continued. But he's always able to listen both sides.

Absolutely terrible. Literally mocking witnesses and the parties. Made it clear before hearing any evidence he has made up his mind.

Also, be sure to mediate because if you decline, he will make a fool of you in court for enforcing your rights because it infringes on his time.

Seems like he doesn’t care for safety of parties either. If you ever have a case in front of him, consider a .6. Terrible.

Replaced Judge Shirk after two years of testimony, then handed down a decision that was full of errors, both in law and in basic math. Also neglected to read the complete file and missed volumes of info. When I filed a motion for reconsideration, he assigned me a court date that was past the 30 days, then stated, correctly, that he had no jurisdiction. Then he told me he would give me an additional 30 days to prove that he should hear my motion before making a judgement. In doing so, because of my ignorance, he caused me to miss the additional 30-day deadline to file an appeal. He handed down a decision full of errors, then manipulated the system so that I couldn't appeal.
