After reading the prior reviews I was hesitant to accept her as a trial judge. I talked with local Norwalk lawyers, who I trust, and their reports were positive.
My client received a fair trial. Judge Cole was a pleasure. For the most part she stayed out of the trial. When she did interject it was because appropriate. She likes to speed things along but did not put expediency over fairness.

I would do . trial with her again

This judge is by far the worst I've ever had, denied me early termination even though my p.o. sent the early termination paperwork in. She didn't even look at my paperwork.

Jude Cole-Hall, like many others have written here, does not read documentation. She doesn't allow you to speak up if you represent yourself and expects you to know all the legalese. I have been going to this court for a while now for divorce and child custody, and this was the first time they sent me to her, and she was terrible. No time to listen, was, in fact, very judgmental and not in a good way as a judge! She is absolutely ridiculous and needs to be "dethroned" because she is just an angry person.

Defendant was lying and proof was submitted and she let the defendant answer her questions without my attorney being able to cross examine him. I never was asked a single thing and she awarded me $24k less than was proven by cssd. The proof was all there. She punished me due to multiple attorneys representing me from the same law firm! She doesn't read all of the info filed on a case. Should be removed from the bench and the legal system.

regardless of the previous comments I have been with this judge for 2 years in regards to my child custody dispute and I've seen she is only after the best interest of the child. she doesn't care to hear any petty fight or accusations. all she cares to hear is what is best for the child and I recommend you keep your arguments short and sweet and do not point fingers. she's a mature adult and she only cares to hear mature arguments and points

This is by far the poorest judge that I have experienced in my child custody and visitation case. She fails to read the mc030 form, nor does she read and review any evidence. I have learned that she has only been commissioner since 2012. Perhaps this is why she doesn't do her job. My daughter suffers severe injuries while on visit with dad, and yet with photos and doctors notes the judge grants 60% more time with child for the dad. I'am going to write letters to her superviser

Not only did Debra Cole-Hall not read my response to a DV Restraining Order, she refused to let me speak and did not look at ANY of the evidence I placed before her then granted the DV restraining order WITH NO EVIDENCE OF THREAT or HARASSMENT. The bailiff how ever did take the time Ms Hall didn't spoke to me and informed me to appeal as did several lawyers in the room the all agreed that Judge Hall did not do her job on any scale. If the scale went lower Debra Cole Hall would be in the negatives with how unprofessional and biased she is.

This judge is biased against men in general. I sat in on a couple of her family law cases and she always gives it to the mother. She doesn't read the file nor does she even care that the other party did not respond after she gave them multiple chances. She treats fathers like dirt and has made comments saying that she needs to speed the hearing up in order to get to lunch? That does not sound like a judge who is genuinely concerned with the best interest of a child. She won't call witnesses to the stand if it has to do with the father proving his side of the story. I've sat in other judges hearings and she by far is the most biased and rudest of them all. It's unfortunate that judges like these get to rule without carefully looking into a case.

She favors clients with attorneys, and discriminates against non-English-speaking people. She is too lazy to read the file. She favors the attorneys that she is familiar with, and treats the others like dirt. We are supposed to let her rule. She is pretty scary -- if you don't believe me, go sit in her courtroom for a day and see for yourself. She should not be a judge at all.
