As others have stated she is racist, lazy, and extremely biased to say the least. Did not read my response to the original petition. Gave me hell for being on unemployment. Even though it’s the first time I’ve ever drawn it. And it’s during a deadly pandemic.
The judge asked me what I did prior to that. When I told the judge I wasn't sure if day trading would be something I'd want to go back to, she started telling me plenty of people do it successfully, why can't I the judge said. The judge said for someone like me, a 38 year old with no college education, unemployment is the best I could hope for. The judge started to laugh at me and ask me what's the most I made day trading. The judge ridiculed me for 20 minutes. I tried to talk about what I thought was the purpose of the hearing but the judge would quickly cut me off and tell me I need to go back to day trading where so I could make 50k a year (the amount I told her I made 3 years ago). The judge said if I made a order for child support right now mom would have to pay according to the guidelines. After I explained my situation in detail to the judge, she would ask me to go back over it again, all the while she's laughing and making snide remarks like you're 38, no college, I don't know what mom hopes to get from you. The judge said it looks like he’s going to milk this unemployment for as long as he can. I have never felt so humiliated and degraded. To be ridiculed in open court by Jude Awoniyi made me physically sick. On 4/202/21 I returned to Judge Awoniyi courtroom. The judge made us wait until everyone else was finished. I checked into the hearing on zoom at 8:55am and didn’t talk to the judge until 12pm. When it was my turn to talk the judge., the judge said you could come back at 1:30pm. The judge said I’ve been listening to this all morning and my staff and I need a break. I don’t know why this judge decided to single me out, but she did. At 1:30 I log back in and the judge tells me it’s not a OSC hearing it’s a child support hearing. After I talked for a couple minutes she’d cut me off. The judge snapped at me and shouted to stop rolling my eyes, she’s having to listen to people all day, that it’s very rude and she’s sick of it. I was looking away from the camera not rolling my eyes. The judge didn’t referee this court date. It was 20 minutes of the judge typing, and my daughters mom and I talking. It seemed as if the judge had her mind made up about what she was going to do on Jan. 19th. The judge was extremely indifferent towards me. At the end of the hearing the judge ordered for me to pay child support even though I provided my full income and deceleration report showing I make significantly less then my daughters mom who I share 50/50 custody with. The judge is aware I’m on food stamps, unemployment, and medi cal. I told the judge I made 50k a few years ago, and she decided to go off of that. The judge told me when I can claim my daughter as a dependent on federal income taxes. As my daughters mom claimed her in 2019, and again in 2020. The judge being aware of this told me I could take odd years. I was not given a chance to respond to the original petition. The judge was extremely hostile and rude towards me. Now my daughters mom will repeat what the judge said to me. Saying you’re a joke like the judge pretty much said. Making co parenting next to impossible. I’ve never been treated or talked to like this in my life.

The worst judge ever presided in family court. She removed my child from custody without doing anything wrong and gave the child to a man with criminal record and verbally and physically abusing. I never thought I see a day where such an injustice occurred. The damaged that she caused to my family was somewhat undone by another judge that could not believe or understand what she has done. She is BIASED and racist, I was treated like a second class citizen stepping all over my rights as a citizen of this country, extremely rude on top of that. She should be removed, disbarred and put in jail in my opinion. The damage she has caused me and my child is unforgivable. She did not look at evidence and facts as it should in a court of law and was easily taking sides. The wrong sides. I saw her in court handing another mother’s children to a physically abusing man that was criminally convicted. The worst judge I have ever seen and I have seen many in my life. I don’t know how the earth can stand people like her and I believe karma will make justice. Do not understand how she sleeps at night! The judge from hell!!

This Judge is horrible and needs to be removed from the bench. All the evidence in front of her and she does not care. She makes up her own opinion. Remove her please..

This "judge" is incredibly prejudicial, biased, and to a certain extent, "lazy". She does not read pleadings or facts. Instead, she draws her own conclusions, absent facts. Her rulings are destructive to family units. She must be removed from the bench at minimum, from the CA bar at maximum.

This judge needs to be disbarred she is very bias and breaks laws of the court not hearing cases where there is a conflict of interest. She takes kids and puts them I and situations she doesn't care about your kids. She just cares about what the people she knows tells her and makes judgment off knowing the other party. She k owns she wrong when she makes you wait all day to be heard so your hearing will not be on record. I hate how she brings so much misconduct in the courtroom, she should never been allowed to make decisions when it comes to people's lives and I hope she gets disbarred soon and never allowed on any bench in any courtroom the rest of her career.

This Judge is horrible!!! Needs to be removed put the children in the hands of an opioid addict and gambling addict Father. Also gave the father exclusive use of the house and allowed him to sit in the house for 10 months not paying the mortgage. Never asked to see his income or asked him why he could not pay the mortgage or utilities. Never ordered the children into counseling or therapy after taking them from the Mother.

Worst judge on the bench in California. Absolutely no redeeming value. She should be stripped of her judicial appointment and disbarred for gross incompetence. Everyone assigned to her court should request to disqualify her and eventually the court will need to remove her. She was already removed from family court, then removed from criminal/civil court, and then they had to put her back in family court.

This judge is openly biased in her decisions, and doesn't seem to care who knows or the impact on the lives of the 'un-favored' ... clearly a political appointee ... I filed a complaint to no avail after my son, despondent over her clear favoring of the woman he was trying to divorce, took his life ... she is not competent to be a family court judge.

She has her cronies from her former practice that she favors. Likes to lecture everyone, knows how to parent the children better than the parents. Seems to be going one way and will flip on a dime. Stay out of her courtroom.
