Stephen Pulido is one of the worst judges in Alameda County. Avoid limited civil, so your appeal is heard by the Court of Appeal, not by his peers.
Always 170.6. Failing that, pursue any opportunity for a motion for which interlocutory appeal is available, so you can 170.6 when you come back down.
He will refuse to follow the law, lie, and contradict himself, without shame.
He knowingly included self-contradictions and/or falsehoods in some Orders in my case. For example, in one Order he required my performance of an action that, in a later Order, he claimed that I had performed without permission. This self-contradiction is in the public record.
He does not perform poorly because he is a dolt; a conscientious stupid person would do better. Rather, he performs poorly because he is lazy, classist, self-important, ill-tempered, and [Redacted by Ed.].

He runs his court room with justice. He seems to ignore anger outbursts of my ex and still rule in his favor. They help the bully and it's never ending litigation. They need to learn to identify a bully and put a stop to a bully not give fees and money so he keeps coming back by using the system to bully for his own revenge. All because of a divorce. How does the cycle of litigation end?

He should not be in Family Court judge -- he is destroying many lives and the system need to put a shop to making bad judges Family court Judges. They need to find a system where only good superior judges become family law judges.

One of the worst judges I've ever seen. Doesn't follow the law. For example, he overruled a demurrer on the grounds that it was not signed, even though it was designed, which is allowed by the CRC. Pulido says he doesn't believe in electronic signatures.

Today, even though he knew I was in a deposition, he put intentionally put me at the end of the calendar, kept me on hold for 2 hours, and then at continued the matter, because he had another event to attend. He wasted 10 attorney hours, waiting for him to call a case. Then when he was informed that I was unable and on vacation next week, he yelled at me and told me to bring a computer on vacation.

He's a moron and a prick. 170.6 100% of the time. The worst judge I've seen in my 15+ years of practice. Doesn't deserve to be on the bench.

Our legal system is flawed, and Judge Pulido is an exemplar of our flawed judiciary. In my opinion, Judge Pulido is incompetent, and incompetent judges should be permanently removed from the bench. Unfortunately, the only realistic mechanism available to attorneys and litigants is to appeal incorrect decisions from Judge Pulido. I'm aware of a case where Judge Pulido made a number of very serious reversible errors on a Motion for Summary Judgment in which there were disturbing procedural errors, factual errors, and legal errors. For a judge with 21 years of judicial experience, this is pathetic and inexcusable. There's no excuse for an incompetent judge who is either too busy and/or too lazy to do a good job.

HORRIBLE. This Judge is incredibly incompetent. I not only say this as a litigant but also as a defendant. He had no interest in hearing my side of a story against my sons mother & guess what, I found out she has an 18+ yr history of domestic violence with multiple men. This judge granted everything my sons mother demanded.

Here's my advise to Judge Pulido: FOLLOW THE RULE OF LAW! This guy has no business being on the bench. He makes it up as he goes and is partial to some of his attorney buddies. He is a disgrace!!!

A complete and total idiot who is unqualified to be a judge. Has the intelligence of a carrot. Biased, incompetent and has absolutely no idea what he is doing. Lazy and vindictive.
It’s shocking that this poor excuse for a human being is sitting on the bench draped in his I’ll fitting black robe.

The laziest judge I have ever come across in 25 years of practice. Mean spirited. Vindictive. Goes hyper technical rather than actually consider the merits. Enraging. Evenhandedly difficult with both sides.
