Comments:
Judge Long doesn’t acknowledge critical facts or points in briefs, almost like he hasn’t read the briefs. Maybe he doesn’t. He seems defense biased, but will indulge attorneys by seeming to listen. He makes everything more difficult than is necessary.

The comments before me appear to severely misrepresent Judge Long's character. I appeared before him last year for a motion for summary judgement hearing for approximately 40 minutes as he delved deep into both Plaintiff and Defense's arguments, asking us very involved questions about both analysis to get to the crux of the matter and with just resolution and found that he is not only even handed, knowledgeable and well spoken, but truly has the heart to get down to the core issues and rule justly.

Despite that I won the motion, he gave Plaintiff a more than adequate shot at arguing her position and I found no bias in his methodology what so ever.

I can only hope to continue to appear before judges like Judge Long in the future - my best goes out to him and his clerk!

Awful. Exploded. Couldn’t control his temper for no reason. Wouldn’t let a woman speak. So, I don’t know if he is Plaintiff inclined. I’m defense. Plaintiff’s counsel was a man. But the judge never confirmed my side and then when I politely spoke up, the judge exploded. I’ve never been screamed at like before but a judge in my entire career.

This judge is everything that is wrong with a judge. He does want he wants to do, despite what the law requires. His latest tentative ruling stated that dropping a check in the mail is payment. Fortunately, he read a brief on the topic and retreated from that finding. Bad news.
