This Judge disregarded the evidence completely in a small claims trial about the production of a operational mobile application for a dog grooming business. Both litigants put the design "prototype" between 25 and 33 1/3 % of the contracted work creating this operational mobile application. This Judge did not read the evidence because his cursory decision that the Plaintiff got all he paid for which the Judge called the design prototype. Absurd! Plaintiff paid $8995 for a working mobile app for his dog grooming business and got a non-operational design ONLY and it took defendant 4 years to produce. The trial was on 12-22-2022 on the eve of the Judge's holiday vacation, he found that Plaintiff got what he paid for. Unfair, unjust and unconscionable. Judge Reinhert ignored the Motion for Reconsideration and the Superior Court would not allow the Writ of Mandate filed requesting a review by the Superior Court. A great injustice occurred. If he can't handle a simple small claims case competently, just think how good he is with really complex issues. He had a nice demeanor; but look out he has NO legal method or mind.

I completely agree with the reviews from 6/6/2023, and 5/12/2022.
Ignore the other reviews about how "sweet" and "nice", etc., that they are claiming Reinert is. As in the review from 6/6/2023..this is a person who has been fooled by his calm demeanor and his outward appearance.
But I assure you, he is a wolf in sheep's clothing. He has bias and affection towards the landlord and is only interested in what will benefit the landlord. And if that means completely disregarding and not acknowledging the laws that a tenant rightfully sites as a defense, then he is willing to do just that and more in order to help the landlord. My landlord was self-represented and did not have an attorney, but the bias towards him was crystal clear. If you are reading this because you weren't quite sure you were experiencing bias and were considering filing a 170.6 to remove Reinert from your case: Let this be your CONFIRMATION to do so.

This Judge is prejudice and bias. He favors attorney’s.

He allows the attorneys to come in late, not be sworn in and rearranges the cases based on what attorneys are present and which attorney’s are running late.

He disregards any solid evidence against party’s with attorneys.

This judge does to follow the law and offers legal advice when it will benefit the party with an attorney.

He is not fit to be a Judge, he knows how to pretend nice/calm but pay attention to the words that are coming out of his mouth, they will only be in favor of the party with an attorney. I did not loose my case, because I requested a afferent judge and a Jury, But I was observant of his behaviors and I do not believe he does Justice for the community, however his calm demeanor can fool someone who doesn’t understand the law.

10=The best judge.
He is such a gentlemen, very polite, very very sweet guy, he is calm and kind. His kindness made me feel less nervous, he is very kind to all the parties, including all litigants and his staff, you can tell everyone respects and loves him in that courtroom.
He is very fair and very respectful to everyone.
I wish there are more judge like Mr Reinart, we need our justice like judges like him.

Unfortunately, my first court experience was not so good, the other judge in the building was yelling at everyone, u can see even his staff and bailiff was stressed, kind of scary, I am sure he might be a great guy, he is just doing his job, but I wish he could improve his fairness and temperament, sometimes over do things is not fair for the other party. I am sure he is a good judge.

I would speak highly about judge reinart, grateful to have a judge like him to pursue Justice, to tell people there is still justice in this world, never give up.

This guy thinks that fraud is not a reason to overturn “default judgements” under CCP 473 (d) in certain circumstances, or at least he said the semantic equivalent on the record on the 15th of last month in 21IWUD00695 (leaving a “precedent” for folks like Diedre Hill and Ronald F. Frank to follow, in absence of any law indicating that they should). Should I say more to you, reader, about filing a motion under CCP 170.6 (for any of the three aforementioned “Judicial Officers” if you are Defense and dealing with insufficient service of process)? David K. Reinert was a Judicial Officer in Torrance seeing criminal cases throughout 2019 and 2020 and it is disturbing that he would help a criminal like Jeff Bodine (and others) commit fraud by demonstrating such bias and disregard for the law as it is written. David should stop hearing civil matters as he stopped hearing criminal matters. Voters, don’t check his name on the ballot in the future.
