Dear Honorable Eileen Sanchez,

Thank you for your work on our case. As a self-represented petitioner standing before you, I am honored by the respect and authority you gave me during our RFO proceedings. Often I was nervous and didn’t know if I could represent my family as appropriate as an attorney could. But, being in your courtroom, you heard my voice, you treated me with respect and gave our family the voice and support we needed. Many times, you made statements that we (parents) needed to hear to recognize the mistakes we were making.

Respondent and I have been in co-parenting therapy since August/September 2024 as a result of your request. Listening to your advice and the therapists advice, propelled us to resolve our issues and reach an agreement. Our daughters are really happy with where we are now as a family. They are enjoying karate and just had their first dance recital. I am certain, we will be okay in the years to come and hope we never step one foot again in your courtroom.

I know your work is hard and many families are torn between these processes. But the lessons you taught us show you were meant to be in this courtroom advocating for the best interest of the families before you. I leave this courtroom pleased with how we were treated and the positive impact your courtroom and the family court services process had on our family.

Thank you for everything you do. Thank you for being a powerful Latina Woman in the courtroom! I always felt empowered by you and never overlooked. May God bless you and your family and give you a prosperous judicial career in all courtrooms you are meant to fill. Thank you to your clerks as well. I know I was a headache sometimes but they were so patient and helpful to me.

From being a former public servant working in the justice system, I feel the justice I participated in serving for others, was served on behalf of our family. We were blessed for all the hard work their mamma has done.

Thank you again,

from a family who needed healing and a family who needed a voice. We did it together and Victory, Peace, Love is ours!

This judge has no conscience. Judge Solis has caused a mother to have health complications which caused a premature birth.

Orange County Superior Court Judge Eileen Solis is under scrutiny for reportedly disregarding court parenting guidelines, putting a vulnerable family at risk. These controversial decisions allegedly worsened the health complications of Samantha Polly’s high-risk pregnancy, culminating in an emergency C-section in January 2025. Samantha’s daughter, Sahara Wind, was born prematurely at just 2 pounds and remains in the NICU at Providence Mission Hospital, fighting for her life. Doctors have warned that Sahara may require a blood transfusion next week due to ongoing complications. Meanwhile, the father has left Samantha, their 1-year-old son, and baby Sahara in the NICU without resources or a car. He has also filed to delay a child support hearing set for February 20, 2025, potentially pushing the case months down the road.

As Samantha recovers from surgery, she struggles to balance visits to the NICU and caring for her son, Jade, all while facing a contentious legal battle with her ex-partner. This case highlights troubling discrepancies between judicial rulings and parenting guidelines designed to prioritize child safety, raising critical questions about accountability in Orange County’s family court system.
