I was before Judge Herrmann for an initial hearing to obtain a temporary civil protection order on behalf of my pre-teen daughter to protect her from someone who was sexually harassing her. The judge, once she noticed that the complaint was related to sexual harassment, refused to read the remainder of the complaint and refused to discuss, evaluate or consider what had happened and why the protection order was being requested. And, without hearing anything my daughter (or I) had to say (and I had evidence with me), was extremely annoyed and immediately began berating my daughter, and told my daughter that she was lying about everything and that I had coerced my daughter into filing the complaint. She initially was not going to give the temporary order, but eventually gave one for 24 hours.
