I consider Judge Westine to be highly incompetent and her actions bring disrepute to the judiciary and to womanhood.
I did not see a zero(0) on the pointing scale. After what she has knowingly done to me and my children, even zero (0) is more then what she deserves. She is building a life on the tears of children. Sealing your incompetence in files does not matter; what you have done to families is known by a higher power.
Attending church to gain votes while causing harm to families in court raises the question: does this make you a believer or a hypocrite?

She coercively controls and manipulates litigants by improper use of court powers. This is concerning because Justice should not be built on coercive control. She manipulates orders by material omission of facts, leading to her securing federal funding for Florida DCF, her husband who is Sheriff of Pinellas, and Sheriff of Pasco. She and these two sheriffs were appointed by Former Gov Rick Scott, to further his political agenda to get federal funding into foster care -which means she is indirectly benefitting by removing kids to receive this funding. She will retaliate against you with her connections with law enforcement in an attempt to ruin your credibility. She pretends to act calm, but her intent is not derived for good purposes. She is calculated and knows exactly what she is doing to tear families, and has even coerced someone into a divorce. If it did not sound crazy, I would say she is influenced by the darkside of life. But she will have to face God someday, but it is clear she is influenced by the other side, whether she has awareness to that or not. Any intuitive person can see, she has major control issues. The opposite of how this country was founded on free will and making the right choices. Her control issues, allows her to play God when no one should play God

worst judge ever she needs to be held accountable for her terrible rulings. She doesnt even look into the case, she just does whatever the side she is working with. She never let my attorneys or I speak once during any of the 3 times I was in front of her. She is not for the children. I will glady join in any filing against her. This lovely judge decided to give my partner an ultimatum: he either asks me to leave (my name is on the lease) or the case will be closed and he has no rights. Well he declined and “well the case is closed then.” We have been together for 2 years.Giving the person (the whole reason there was a case) their reunification. He did everything they asked with no government assistance by the way and was still denied. Now the high conflict parent has the power and is denying visitation. Also they kept calling me a paramour, either they lack the definition or the Honorable Judge Westine is calling me a whore. We were also treated unfairly by cps as they “believed” the mom that were “dangerous.” My partner is of an ethnic background if that tells you anything while the mother is white. Seeing these other reviews breaks my heart. Please do better your honor.

This Judge is the SOLE reason why children in west Pasco will always be victimized and abused. It is not their parents it is her draconian decision making that is not at all in line with the welfare of children. She makes decision against the best interests of children. She should be removed from the bench ASAP. She is no good to children, citizens, or justice. It is time all the victims of Judge Westine start standing up and getting rid of this menace to society. Biased Judge will side with the state every single time against kids.

As a retired lawyer, I was able to review case if hers. She punished a battered mother in the same capacity of the abuser and went to extreme lengths to exceed the scope of her powers given by the judiciary. We will be filing a federal code of regulations complaint because the way she handled this case clearly violated Title 45, who fund the state of Florida but must follow the federal code. The way she treated this battered mother who was a victim was one of the cruelest inhumane treatment I have ever witnessed. She has no business residing over cases like this as she clearly is bias as a former prosecutor and her husband in law enforcement. People need to contact the JQC and file complaints to get her removed before she ruins anyone families

This judge makes up her own rules as she goes along. She is unprofessional and biased. I was threatened by her and accused of hating the other party in my custody suit simply because I questioned something in court. Totally unprofessional and angry. She needs to be in criminal court instead of family court.

Performance would imply that there is some type of skill. Judge Westine does not have that in any measurable scope. She went from a cell tower leasing attorney to a family court judge. That's like taking a T-Mobile saleswoman and making them mayor of your town and then letting them go carte blanche because of their connections.
Decisions are inconsistent, not morally just and do not follow Florida statutes or rulings from higher courts.
She has had several flare-ups in court, will reword questions for the opposing counsel, mess up orders and then hand write over them and demonstrates a severe bias against men. The other reviews stating her connections should be a warning. Research in to other men affected by her should raise eyebrows.
She mentions in session about being in charge of a court of equity but if the equity means stepping on your Constitutional rights, then she's the right woman for the job.
The other review listed here (submitted twice) that she reviews evidence is laughable. I'm sure if the decision has been made outside her court, it's an easy rubber stamp for her. But if she then has to review law or cases pertaining to an item before the court, hold on because if you're a man or associated to a man before her, you are about to get completely pummeled.
It's a shame the masses aren't aware of judges like Westine when they go to elect these people in robes but if Family Court was before a jury or proceedings shown, she would be back trying to get leases for cell towers again.

Westine is the wife of Pinellas County Sheriff Robert Gualtieri. Between the two of them, they have had four governor "appointments" so far. Her appointment as a judge was rigged and she and Gualtieri circumvented the "Merit Selection Process" required to select a judge. While still an Assistant State Attorney, Greg Groger threw a very loud tantrum at the SAO kicking garbage cans and slamming things around. He had put his name in for consideration as replacement judge for the open position and had been told flat out that Westine was getting it this time and not to say anything. This was literally just after the names were submitted and long before the merit selection process had run it's course. The information was published by James McLynas, candidate for Sheriff two months before Westine was named and appointed. the next time a opening for a sixth circuit judge was available, Greg Groger got it. Westine was doing cell phone tower land acquisition deals for 7 years before she was appointed and was clearly not the best of the names submitted. This is crooked Pinellas County Florida politics and She is a horrible judge. She has already been in the news multiple times for jailing people for "liking" facebook posts.

I intend to file a complaint with the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission against Pasco County Florida Family Court Judge Lauralee G. Westine. She is inconsistent, makes partial rulings, and I think she's accepting kickbacks from Eckerd for example. To the best of my knowledge, Lauralee lied about her qualifications in order to obtain her position, in which she was politically appointed family court judge by Former Governor Rick Scott. Lauralee Westine was a cell phone tower lease attorney. If you Google "Lauralee Westine", there's nothing positive about her in the news. She put a Marine Veteran's wife in jail for exercising her 1st Amendment Right to Free Speech (overturned by 2DCA). Otherwise, Lauralee is referred to as " Wife of Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri". Lauralee is a nobody. Judge Lauralee Westine's posts on social media reflect that she is unprofessional. The social media posts are public record.

In my personal opinion this judge is very biased and unfair. Makes rulings based on personal connections to select people,looks down upon individuals who dont fit her own personal lifestyle, doesn't include the best interest of the child in the cases, this judge should not be allowed to make rulings in family court, she jeporadizes the safety of peoples children !

She gave the defendants ample time to correct their issues and arranged for another meeting when that time is up. This lady gave custody if a 1 year old to a couple that have mental issues as well as drug problem. And who had refused to give the child back to the parents and police had to be called to return the child all because the child parent was not currently working..this judge should be barred from any and all leagal proceedings.

Allowed the courts/lawyers to drag out a simple case for 4 years and allowed me to be drug into a ridiculous and unacceptable situation where I was slandered and verbally abused by this rude judge and the opposing counsel I am disgusted by the behavior of the judge and the entire judicial system for allowing this kind of abuse of power and lack of respect for me or my friend.
