Judge Eig is entering orders of involuntary dismissal as matter of routine practice in probate cases pending for less than 90 days purportedly for non-compliance with a court order. In reality the court order in question is void as in excess of a trial court's jurisdiction under rule 1.420 yet he checks the box on such illegal orders daily knowing attorney fees for relative to couple hundred dollar probate filing fee are cost prohibitive. Go figure.

He knows exactly the meaning and intention of the law. The first thing in his mind is the servive of the law which requires compassion for the handicapped.

Judge Eig is an extraordinary jurist, is careful to follow the law and has an excellent judicial temperament. As a criminal court judge he was always fair to defendants and at the same time compassionate to victims. He always treated those practicing before him with respects. Fortunate to have Judge Eig on the circuit bench

Judge Eig is incompetent. He has no business sitting on the criminal bench. He doesn't know the law and shows no interest in learning the law. His courtroom is a circus. He doesn't have a clue as to how to run a calendar. If you're looking for a judge to run against, this is him!
