Something strange going on here. I made one comment about Judge Lopez and came back due to curiosity to find that my script about my experience with Judge Lopez was trifled with and what I had said had been mixed around and about but most certainly contrived into similiar remarks (comments) that most certainly meant to mimic mine, different yet the same and that's not fair to the Judge even though I don't patricianly like him, no I don't respect him at all.

Not bad considering it could be worse.

Prejudicial prejudice to this female pro se litigant, fearful of eye contact, smirks & stacks papers already stacked, ignored objections, refused 4-written recusals, asking a Defendant, "What are you doing here? She replied "I'm a Defendant" Lopez stacks papers again. Lopez's arrogant smirk was at his core untruthful & fearful, a helpful liar for billionaire Plaintiffs and Plaintiffs attorney against an 82-and-65-year-olds. Even if these folks win, they'll still be losers collectively because this one required a bum for a lawyer, a bum for the Plaintiffs and a bum for a judge to pull this one off

In our particular case the judge seemed arrogant to openly hostile and uncaring even a touch of arrogance and anger as could care less, openly prejudiced against pro se litigants. We knew in a second we'd be appealing whatever his character might dish out a year or two down the road.

This judge moonlights as a law professor at St. Thomas University. He is easily intimidates even by self-represented litigants yet bullies when he believes he can without any repercussion. He has tried to get appointed to higher court, but apparently lacks the connections. Bad judge!!!

Don't understand the last comment since I've always found this judge to be very well-prepared, fair, and reasonable. He is usually early and ready to start before the time for hearing.

Comments:
One of the worst judges in Dade County. Showed up to Court late, read over the parties' motions hastily, and ruled without allowing argument of counsel. He does not listen to counsel but instead argues with counsel in an attempt to justify his predetermined ruling. He doesn't know the law, nor does he care to learn or follow it.

Excellent judge. Takes the time to listen to both sides before ruling. Very patient and smart.

Very astute & well prepared. Just make sure you have your ducks in a row. If you don't, he'll pleasantly, but sternly deny the relief you seek. One of Miami's best.

I had the pleasure of being in front of Judge Lopez recently when he came in to take over Judge Esquiroz's division. While I was not always successful on my motions, I found him to be always well prepared, having a thorough grasp of legal and practical issues involved, and willing to be tough when necessary.

I haven't had criminal experience with Judge Lopez, but I was always happy to be in front of him when he was in civil. Smart and one of the best. He remembers cases that have been before him and he's fair.

Lopez must have written the last review about himself. Is he serious? He is not very bright, and he is certainly not even close to being one of the best. His rulings lack basic insight into the law.

He is one of the best judges in Miami-Dade County. It was a huge loss to the civil division when he was transferred to the criminal division. Judge Lopez is worthy of being a Federal Judge. If you end up in front of him, be prepared, but he is fair.
