Judge Ellen Sue Venzer let a MDPD cop name Wislyn Joseph lie in her court room in January 2020 and February 2020 without consequence. He committed a 2nd degree felony and it was proven through impeachment right in front of her and she ignored the lawyer. Ellen Sue Venzer also received a report from a DNA expert name Tiffany Roy on June 11 2019, who she allowed the defence to hire and she approved the expert be paid on behalf of my son. The report proved the MDPD Criminalist lied under oath to convict my son,. Judge Venzer let ASA Santiago Aroca (with Alibia Henry) lie under oath by saying their was no DNA in that case just to get a conviction. She also did that to prevent exposing her cronies (Richard Scruggs), and she sentenced my son to life KNOWING HE'S INNOCENT OF THE CRIMES THEY ACCUSED HIM OF. Keeping her as a judge harms the community she serves. Especially the poor community. I pray God remove her from the bench altogether!!! I have transcripts to prove everything I wrote above and I have already shared the transcripts on many public platforms and I will keep sharing it until she's removed. Tell her Wislyn Joseph was not worth her career. My son's case will get national attention one day amd the public will demand justice when they see the travesty of justice done to us!!!

Going back to 2004 Art Tifford stole 125k from me. Venzer was so enamored by his marine stories etc and "me Never!"she didn't listen to me and wouldn't allow my husband to speak. Well he did worse to someone else and was disbarred and killed himself he was so embarrassed. Maybe Venzer should look at facts not medals!

My son is coming before this judge for a VOP and I am praying she gives him more probation and puts him into a rehab program. I am 73 and just lost my husband and need my son to get better. He doesn't belong in jail, he needs help. Please be lenient.

Her honest compassion and appreciation for her role in the judicial system is evinced every time she steps into the courtroom. She is a mentor to both the defendant's and to the attorneys in the courtroom. Her impression goes beyond the four corners of the court room.

Judge Venzer is extremely compassionate. She genuinely cares and will do everything in her power to get people the help they need. Although she takes her job very seriously, Judge Venzer isn't afraid to have fun in her courtroom and joke around when it is appropriate.

My youngest son had gotten in a lot of trouble and has been dealing with a drug problem which brought on many legal problems and I flew into Miami and go to court to be of support to him.
a couple of times.
As a recovering person myself with many years of sobriety I sat and listened to many other cases and was quite impressed with the way Judge Vezner
showed true understanding of the seriousness of the disease. I got to witness Judge Vezner show compassion with firmness and fairness with the defendants.
She utilizes her position to try to help the defendants while upholding the law with fairness. She is exactly what one would want in a judge.
Many may not like that fact she doesn't play games because the outcome is not what they were hoping for however it is because she does understand the disease probably
more so than the defendants. I can only add I was extremely impressed with the way she handles her court.

I spent some time in Judge Venzer courtroom observing a case of a young man who was facing life in prison. She spent a long time explaining the situation to the defendant and was incredibly caring and real. Her responses showed an incredible depth of knowledge, her approach was firm and kind and I could not have been more impressed by her demeanor and approach.

She always strives to be fair, and is one of the few judges who makes decisions based on what is right, not based on public opinion or media pressure. We need more judges with her legal expertise and courage to make the right decisions.

Judge Venzer is very smart and doesn't hold her tongue, which in most cases is an asset. She is the kind of judge who you want unless you don't have the facts or the law on your side. When you make absurd arguments she will call you out. She does not suffer fools. And yes, because she is a woman saying things male judges would never get grief about. Let's be honest: she is a really good judge.

Judge Venzer is an esteemed Judge, having served on the bench for 21 years. She constantly tries to keep in touch with her own personal bias and fervently keeps it from influencing her decisions. Those who say Judge Venzer is rude or disrespectful would not say the same things if a male jude was in her place. Judge Venzer keeps strict order in her courtroom and this is no reflection on her ability to impartially hold court, hear please, accept/deny motions, etc.

I had this judge in the civil division as well as a professor at University of Miami School is Law. She genuinely cares about the people who stand before her. She is a role model for all other judges. Miami Dade is fortunate to have someone with her character and dedication on the bench.

Judge Venzer is a very thoughtful judge who will truly listen to testimony presented, review evidence provided, and wrestle with arguments made. She asks intelligent questions of witnesses and attorneys both, demonstrating both her concentration during the course of the proceeding and her desire to understand the material being presented. She treats both sides with respect and gives adequate opportunity to the lawyers to question witnesses and argue their points. Most importantly, she is willing to make a decision based on the evidence and the law, even if her ruling is likely to generate criticism from the general public. It is very rare to find a judge who has the courage to do the right thing, especially when under intense scrutiny. Judge Venzer is a wonderful example of a judge who possesses both the intelligence and confidence to make the correct, albeit sometimes unpopular, ruling. She brings a level of humanity to the courtroom, never forgetting that the individuals before her are people and that her decisions have an impact, often profound, on their lives.

I observed how patient she was on that case with Amanda Evans whose family I know. I think she outs men like Judge Marc Schumacer to shame since she listened to Amanda even when Amanda used profanity and Schumacer would not even allow me to present medical facts causing me to loose custody of my daughter to liars. I do believe that most women make better Judges from my experience. I will be forwarding this recommendation to Rev Al Sharpton and my other friends who are close to the President to make him aware of her good example to other Judges....... I find it amusing that the negative comments are predictably from defense attorney's point of view
She is smart and clever and has the 6th sense
(Common sense) when dealing with defendants and their BS over paid "mouth pieces". If you are guilty tell her so and throw yourself on the mercy of the court, if not bring your "A" game. Crying should be reserved for victims not perps. Her integrity is 2nd to none, period

Judge Venzer allows the prosecution to run her court room. She does not try to work with the inmates at all nor the defense team. She is not a big fan of house arrest and she will keep off setting court days as long as the prosecution says so. Not a good judge

I went with my brother to close his case and she didn't even give him a chance to speak. She was also joking around the whole time with the cops and everyone that was working with her that day. She called one man "shaggy," kidding around. Justice is a serious matter and she should not take her job as such a joke when all the people in the court have been so distressed about what they're there for. She is very disrespectful and, as I've seen others say, she's very unprofessional and it's true.

This judge is completely biased and abuses her power in a very immature way. Why does she have this job if she's not going to be polite or respectful? She laughs, and might make a joke about you in front of everyone in the courtroom if you were to cry. Very unprofessional, indeed. The day I went to court she admitted that she was in a horrible mood and took it out on everyone and ended the cases early because "she didn't want to be there." Even the public defenders and lawyers were laughing in disbelief at how unprofessional and ridiculous she was acting.

I can honestly say that this is the most unprofessional, immature, and unfair judge that I've ever seen in my life. To begin with, she sped through the whole thing with over 30 people because she said she wanted to leave already. She will look you up and down and judge you based on your appearance, and if she thinks you look "dirty" (as she calls it), she won't even give you, your public defender, or any witnesses a chance to speak or to defend yourself. Oh, and if you start to cry, she'll laugh at you, and if you or your public defender tries to explain, she'll interrupt you and tell you that she doesn't want to hear it or that she doesn't care. She was in a very foul mood (so she said herself) the day I went to court, and literally took it out on everyone there in a very immature manner. Let's put it this way: I have wanted to be either a lawyer or a judge basically all my life in order to give fair judgement, and when I went there not only for a friend but to learn a bit from the judge and observe, from what I saw I would never treat any criminal that horribly, no matter what. She has to understand what her job is and do it right, and if not, don't do it at all. It is unfair and, as I said before, completely unprofessional how she treats everyone in the courtroom (even the lawyers were laughing in disbelief as she gave the them such attitude for no apparent reason). But of course they have to respect her. Ultimately, she does not deserve her job if she can't handle it -- and she definitely cannot handle it.

I've only seen lawyers get on her bad side when they've attempted to pull a fast one on her. If you you're doing an honest job she'll treat your fairly. Without question the worst Circuit Court Judge in Miami-Dade, and most down there are a close second. If she is ever assigned to your case, run and run fast. Uses her bench as a throne. Does not enforce or rule on the law. She creates it as she goes along, especially when one of the lawyers before her is a "friend" or "friend of a friend". Very politically motivated.

Not very intelligent. She once stated to me that the case law I was citing in a civil was old, although there were no new cases on the issue and the issue was settled law.

Takes sides instead of being impartial.
