My experience with this Judge is he does not prepare himself for hearings by reading all the materials presented to him and as a result, he does not understand the basics of the law he is employed to uphold. Either that, or he is unwilling to follow the law due to bias or an inability to comprehend the law he is tasked to understand. He does not appear to understand basic tenants of the law. As a result, he is dangerous to the integrity of the bench and bad law is coming from him. He does not seek out the truth and this is very dangerous. He is a nice guy as a person it seems but not equipped to be on the bench.

He is certainly biased towards local practitioners. Probably the ones that contribute to his own personal gain or has some other improper relationship. Worst of all, he does not have a knowledge of the laws or even follow the basic rules of procedure. He is costing law abiding citizens money, aggravation, and disappointment in the judicial system. Simply put, he is a bad judge, and should be removed from the bench. Unfortunately, the website does not let me put a zero (0) rating.

This Judge initially comes across as being well-prepared for hearings. However, he appears to fixate on aspects of an argument without the ability (or willingness) to consider alternative positions. He is either intellectually lazy or simply biased towards certain local practitioners. Beware of this Judge.

Judge Hendon was an excellent trial attorney in his criminal defense days. He is modest and down to earth and still feels comfortable with attorneys he has practiced with prior to being elevated to the bench. He is compassionate and ready to listen to argument. He adds class and dignity to the Dade County list of Judges.

Very prejudicial. Favors judgements for those who have sued him in the past. Does not correct frequent mistakes made by staff. Does not follow and has very limited knowledge of the Federal Rules.

I agree with the last comment: Judge Hendon is incompetent and will not listen to reason when it involves statutes that he does not understand. His rulings are dangerous.

Judge Hendon is absolutely incompetent. He doesn't appear to understand the most basic legal concepts. Even when shown that he is completely wrong on a ruling, he will not turn back. (During an argument on a motion to strike affirmative defenses, he ruled that "Accord and Satisfaction" was not a valid affirmative defense and I showed him FRCP 1.110 which expressly lists it as an affirmative defense.) He will not listen to reason but makes crazy snap rulings and then sticks to them no matter what. He is awful.
