Judge Robbins is patient and deliberative in injunction hearings even though by their nature they are generally pressed for time. Although the law (unfairly, in my opinion) tends to greatly favor issuance of an injunction with very little evidence, she does manage to navigate this well. I have represented both petitioners and respondents, and always felt they were treated fairly by Judge Robbins (if sometimes unfairly by the law.) She does a good job of not merely accepting testimony at face value and gives weight to credibility, which is RARE among her peers in injunction hearings. She never appears eager to simply "rubber stamp" a temporary injunction with bare minimum testimony. When at issue, she will reasonably craft details of an injunction order to fit the case (e.g. consider expiration, limitations on standard language or expanding language of an order to fit the circumstances.)

Allows herself to be interrupted and distracted continually during trials with matters irrelevant to the case at hand. Does not consider all factors of the case. Allows discovery to be accepted even after deadline date has been closed by her order. Truly disappointing experience.

Very attentive during court proceedings and has a keen sense of witness integrity during their testimony. Always a real bad idea to lie but this judge will detect and call out deception and lies in her court!

A Psychiatry ARNP was subpoenaed to testify, as an expert witness, on my behalf at an injunction hearing/family law case in Ocala, FL Marion County. Judge S. Sue Robbins presided the case. If I were to travel to the center, being at a distance, it would cost me about $800/ mth to see my child for one hour a week. She denied modification of the judgement even though a Psychiatry, ARNP testified that I was competent and had not been psychotic for the 20 mths since off medication due to pregnancy, was med compliant and was doing very well. I also had a letter similar submitted into evidence from my Psychiatric counselor.
Unsupervised visits was denied with no legal reason in court. There was no evidence to support S. Sue Robbins judgement. This is a violation of my civil rights. I also presented that I hold a 3.75 gpa in software development curriculum at a local college. I have schizoaffective disorder that a Psychiatry, ARNP regularly treats and overseas and a case manager under the ARNP visiting my home with good reports. The father of my child was domestically violent to me and she did not grant me protection even after he went to jail for threatening to bash my face, while injunction-ed to stay away from me, in via voicemail that I played in court as well in a previous injunction hearing under her. The father and his sister lied to injunction me out of spite because the father and sister were injunction-ed by me first with no evidence of battery or attempted battery,etc under her. She put a child in a supervised visitation center out of discrimination against a mother with nothing more than a diagnosis. She made frequent technical mist**es as well in paperwork.

Judge Robbins cares about her cases. She is the epitome of professionalism. She demands preparedness and honesty. Any attorney wanting to become a great family law attorney should spend some time practicing in her courtroom.

Judge allows hearsay in courtroom, allows audience to coach witnesses and she ignores it/ disciplines and is rude to attorneys, allows hearsay and perjury, keeps siding with certain dcf caseworkers

Terrible, she is very biased in her rulings. She wouldn't allow the children to testify of domestic violence, and then agreed with opposing counsel that I was a liar, since then she has denied every motion I have made. She ruled money should be counted twice. Now she is going to sit on whether I get to keep custody of my daughter or not. She is ruining my life, financially, emotionally, and that of my children.

Sue Robbins has no regard for the children who's lives she destroys while acting like she is doing what is in their best interest. Dont bother wasting your time trying to defend yoursellf because she wont let you speak before taking your child from you!!

This Judge has absolutely no regard for the Rules of Evidence, the Rules of Civil Procedure or ultimate justice. Presenting evidence is an absolute waste of time in that she makes it more than clear that her decision has been made at the onset and she sticks to it irrespective of other alternatives, the truth or the weight of the evidence. In her completely misguided effort to help families, her complete lack of personal experience with children is beyond evident and what she does in the end is destroy not only families, but the children she purports to protect. If she knew anything at all about children and/or had any ability to keep an open mind and actually honor the rules of our legislative system perhaps my stomach would not churn every time I refer to her as "your Honor"!!!
