Judge O'Kane is a rare gem in the court system. She has the ability to be fair to both parties and she listens intently to both sides and all evidence. Her rulings are well thought out and carefully considered. It was a loss when she was transferred out of the family court but she was well placed in the criminal courtroom where defendants are sure to have a fair trial. I =expect she could move up to the court of appeals. Her main fault is her assistant. The assistant acts inappropriately, has trouble following up, and does not efficiently keep the Judge on a timely schedule. Unfortunately, the assistant reflects directly and negatively on Judge O'Kane.

I was in Osceola County Jail and motioned Judge O'Kane to transport me to Orange County once I was sentenced, so as to begin the alleged criminal citations in Orange. I found Judge O'Kane to be fair and balanced, which is the highest praise that a judge can receive. Thank you, Judge O'Kane, from Leo J. Wicker! (She is quite beautiful, too.)

Good demeanor, pleasant, but so pro-state it's ridiculous. Will do everything she can to help prosecutors, especially females. Hearsay rule only applies to defense cases.
