Francis fails to read the legal arguments contained in court documents submitted to him and makes judgments without doing research based on his often erroneous understanding of the law. It can take months to even get a short hearing from him (even on child custody matters which are supposed to be expedited by right) and he will take several more months before simply signing the order that will allow you to appeal his erroneous decision (and the appeals court is so slow that appealing is practically the same as losing altogether). Judge Francis is clearly one of the laziest and most incompetent judges and has no business being in a courtroom until he learns how to do the bare minimum his job requires.

There is no love lost on this awful judge as he heads for retirement.

His deals got him a courthouse with his name on it... all it takes to cover your sins these days.

Turns a blind eye. Not evenhanded, struggles with basic concepts. Should have retired 20 years ago. The county will suffer years after his tenure from his legacy of shame.

Judge Francis was for many years considered amongst the most ethical Judges in the State of Florida. Unfortunately, as his career comes to a close he has lost his itegrity. He receives his side money through his wife's businesses, and was caught red-handed by state investigators. The JQC received multiple complaints, and he was advised by the Chief Judge to resign. His network will protect him. There will be no justice for this man who disgraces himself at the end of his career. Shameful.
