Could not be a less competent judge on the bench in the state of Florida. He is very biased and lacks common sense. He has his favorites.

Never has my son been before a judge that was open to providing him with the opportunity to get treatment for his 20+yr drug addiction. All other judges sentenced him to prison which we all know is not the avenue for rehabilitation/treatment for addicted inmates...DOC is nothing but a warehouse for them to be broken down verbally and physically; FL DOC certainly doesn't treat them like human beings and definitely doesn't encourage them to make better choices so they can return to society better than when they went in, instead they're released angry and bitter. Judge Mercurio was stern but fair and extremely professional to everyone and ran his courtroom like clockwork. Having been truly blessed, we'll forever be indebted to him and thank him profusely for this second chance!!!

Most biased Judge in the 12th Judicial Circuit. Favors a select group of lawyers and treats the others very poorly. Be concerned if he is assigned your case.
