It's comical to read the negative comments on this post because its obvious that it comes from attorneys and litigants that have obtained adverse rulings. This judge is fair and this comes from someone that not always gets favorable rulings. This judge is always prepared and does her homework and as some previously said can detect BS.

This Judge actually gave a speech at a luncheon and said that her pet peeve was people who are late for meetings and hearings. What a hypocrite. This Judge is late for everything. When she does show up late she then holds counsel to the length of the hearing as scheduled because of her subsequent hearings. If you want to set hearings in front of her you have to appear at a motion to set. The motion to set takes 2 hours. Then you get a hearing date 2-3 months out, she shows up late for that hearing, you don't get done with anything, and then when you reset the hearing (you guessed it) you have to come back to another motion set. Cases in front of this Judge take forever. She has no discipline to keep a schedule and get things done. When you do finally get to a point where she makes a decision, she has no clue what she's doing, and as my colleague says, she is condescending and makes entirely inappropriate comments. She does not take her job seriously.

She refuses to communicate with litigants' counsel. She does not accept emails and her JA does not take calls. It is inexcusable, and extremely frustrating for attorneys. That alone warrants a low ranking. Not every procedure or question can be identified/resolved on her web page. Scheduling a hearing on all questions, many of which could be quickly resolved by a simple phone call, is a waste of everybody's time and resources.

She has what amounts to ex-parte communications with litigants. She speaks spanish to one of the partys' right in front of the advesary's face right from the bench when she knows the other side doesn't understand. In addition, when presented with the applicable law she refuses to follow it! She's stubborn, provincial minded and takes the easy way out with her half-cocked decisions. It appears another political hack made it onto the bench--to the detriment of the public at large.

This is a judge that truly works hard to be impartial and fair in her decisions. She is well respected in the community at large. She is presently presiding in the toughest division, residential foreclosure, and doing an awesome job.
It is obvious that the negative comments here, must have litigants that received an adverse ruling, but that is what the appellate courts are for, so don't disparage a good judge because she ruled against you.

Took jurisdiction of a divorce with no legal basis and with any kind of research knew she was wrong. Acted biased as if she had information about the case prior to the hearing.
Seem to be on vacation constantly and unavailable.

Very judgmental, refused to consider court ordered Psych Evaluation and testimony from Husbands only witness. Ordered 3 years of Bridge Gap Alimony that is only valid for 2 years in Florida. Self Litigating Wife allowed to say anything despite objections, leaving Husbands Lawyer with no time to respond. Uninterested in learning facts of case and does not know the meaning of equitable distribution. Men be ware of this Judge.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO TELL THIS JUDGE THAT SHE IS THE PERSON WHO REPRESENTS THE LAW, SHE IS NOT THE LORD OF THE COURTS. I WAS NEVER GIVEN DUE PROCESS OR A FAIR CHANCE TO PRESENT. I WAS OREDERED TO PAY A LAWYER FOR MY EX. I DIDNT PUT MY SIGNATURE ON THE CHECK AS IT WAS A JOINT ACCT. I WAS HELD IN CONTEMPT CAUSE MY WIFE SIGNED IT AS IT IS A JOINT ACCT....WITH MY MONEY!!!! THE PRIOR ORDER NEVER STIPULATED ANYTHING CLOSE TO THAT. SHE DIDNT HEAR ANYTHING I HAD TO SAY OR PREPARED AND COMPLETELY IGNORED A FEDERAL COURT DECISION THAT NULLIFIED THE ENTIRE CASE. ARROGANCE AND INTOLERANCE UNFORTUNATELY TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER FAIRNESS AND IMPARTIALITY IN HER COURTROOM. SHE DEMANDS THAT YOU FEAR HER AND IF YOU DONT KISS UP ENOUGH, SHE WILL MAKE SURE THE DECISION DOES NOT FAVOR YOU. SEE....SHE WOULD ACTUALLY HAVE TO HEAR THE FACTS OF A CASE OR ACTUAQLLY READ ALL THE DETAILS, TO RENDER AN INFORMED AND FAIR DECISION. IS SHE REALLY SOMEONE WE WANT "REPRESENTING" OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM?
