Comments:
He sets illogical recommendations for settlement, then he suddenly changes his mind, wasting everyones time, wasting money creating confusion and frustration. Everything is done behind closed doors, you have no idea if your lawyer represents you fairly or why he ruled correctly. Because he is so inconsistent and flaky, the case drags with no valid reason.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Rating:1.0
Comments:
Mr. Ukena is not capable of settlement discussions or evenhandedness in divorce court. Furthermore, many lawyers have to tell him what the law says. He's not well schooled. He's angry and his courtroom persona displays he suffers from psychological problems as if he likes the drama. He initiates contempt while coming to irrational conclusions due to not being very knowledgeable about the mathematics of his cases.

I concur with the negative comments of the one rating of Ukena on this site. As an educator, I am saddened to think that our hard working tax payers have to pay this man's salary. He's so incompetent it's scary. Instead of being a part of the solution, he is part/whole of the problem. He does unconventional things because he does not understand the facts of his cases. And from what I've seen of his court transcripts, he says incoherent things. He makes illogical rulings because "he can". It's just so unprofessional and crazy that someone like him is completely unaccountable for his stupidity and lack of insight. When he does do something in the actual courtroom, attorneys, bailiffs, on lookers just shake their heads and roll their eyes as if to say, "REALLY?" did this guy not hear or understand the facts? Actually, it appalling! The bar association must be made aware of this guy's ineptness.

Litigant

Comment #: IL903
Rating:Not Rated
Comments:
This judge is ignorant of the majority of the basic facts of any case, even after four years. He turfs out eighty per cent of trial matters and serious cases. He is biased toward women, even when they are the respondents. He makes inappropriate comments like: "What are you doing with all of your money, now that you went bankrupt?" He rules without reading motions or checking new laws. He disregards statutes from public acts. He disregards his own orders. He is elected, and at this time cannot be wrong. He is belligerent, and interested more in going to lunch than solving the cases. He is disrespectful to pro se litigants and tries to bully people into getting lawyers. He is a disgrace to the robes that he wears.
