Civil Litigation - Private

Rating:1.8
Comments:
Judge McKay serves on the emergency order of protection bench in DuPage. The Wheaton Police Department states: he (McKay) hands these (orders of protection) out like candy. Causing irreparable harm to those he issues these against, including loss of reputation, costs for attorneys, time, etc

Civil Litigation - Govt.

Comment #: IL4522
Rating:3.3
Comments:
Mr MacKay is an example of a prosecutor who has run amuck, in multiple matters he has violated legal cannons, allowed drunk defense attorneys (who where clearly on drugs and or drunk ) to appear in his courtroom ; violated judicial cannons

And acted in matters unbecoming of a lawyer, much less a judge ! Ultimately his action resulted in a client of his suddenly passing away. Lyft and via rideshare; are deeply troubled and concerned not only with Mr MacKays actions, but those of the DuPage county ethics board and prosecutors .

To allow a middle aged man to drive drunk, endangering the motoring public, acting in the young man’s vehicular accident as a Judge in those matters. And then the DuPage county coroners office, attempting to lie to the victims family over the BAC levels at the time of death is something an attorney or prosecutor never wants to hear .

Mr MacKay has demonstrated he lacks the ability to handle complex litigation matters and is unfit for the bench.

I have filed a JUDICIAL INQUIRY BOARD complaint against Judge Jeff Mackay, who signed a search warrant which seized mental health records from my office. Chief Judge Reuben Castillo has ruled against DuPage for this unlawful seizure and ordered settlement talks

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comments:
Judge Mackay is one of the few ex-state's attorneys to become judge that has successfully shaken off the prosecutorial attitude that one is guilty until proven innnocent. He is smart, listens carefully to the evidence, and bases his rulings upon the evidence. Win or lose, you get a fair trial, even a bench trial, before him.
