The worst judge I have appeared in front of in many years. Arrogant, rude and not the least bit interested in following the law. The politics that got him assigned to the bench are a true embarrassment. Fortunately, 99% of the judges in Northern Illinois are hard working thoughtful jurists. Judge Salvi stands out as an unfortunate embarrassment.

Judge Salvi was an embarrassment to the Bench. His demeanor was condescending, arrogant and hostile. I worked for Cook County and with their court system for 20 years and have never encountered encountered a judge with this behavior. To the Hon Chief Judge Ukena, Judge Salvi is not the appropriate fit for PROBATE court.

Judge Salvi does not follow the Constitution or allow due process in his courtroom. If a parent has an inability to pay they should review financial affidavit closely to modify orders instead of rushing to incarcerate parents for an inability to pay. He should promote shared parenting which will cut down on litigation. He should not let personal bias affect his judgment on the bench. Child need and deserve both parents.

Agree with all especially second one. Showed total lack of caring for our side (husband) but listened to opposing WOMAN lawyer's comments and misrepresentations. Never gave us a chance to show proof or explain anything but was very abrupt with us with "dagger" eyes. Just gave more and more money to them which left us broke and in debt.

This judge is not following his canons and seems obsessed with preventing kids from having both parents in their lives. There is nothing "honorable" about abusing your position, not following laws you are supposed to uphold violating constitutional rights of American citizens. Very suspicious of lawyers that get appointed to be judges. Seems like they are the ones more interested in Title IV-D money then "The best interests of children".

Judge Salvi showed total lack of caring about the facts regarding our case and instead only focused on siding with the mother and her attorney which he obviously had a personal relationship with. He kept a three year old and her father separated even though he admitted that there was no evidence to do that. He cut off closings before the father's attorney even had a chance to start and aligned himself with the mother. Witnesses he ruled to only be giving second hand accounts were then credited in his closing. I'd hope in family law we really try to look more at a case by case basis and not just for the mother automatically.

This judge set my child support order over $2,000 a month. He didn't even look at my financial affidavit. I live paycheck to paycheck now. Then this week he took away my four days a month with my children and put me on supervised visitation. Now I only get one hour a week supervised. He punished me for expressing my 1st amendment rights. This judge HATES the Constitution!!! And he hates parents who want to be in their children's lives!!!!
