Odd demeanor. Not the best but not the worst. Sloppy work and unprepared for court but will rule against the state once in a while.

Even though serious abuse concerns were brought to his attention, he went along with a GALs recommendation to cut off contact with me even though I was not the one being investigated for domestic violence. The GAL accused me of parental alienation because after I didn't force contact between my child when she said she feared her father. She used frivolous reasons and subjective statements in her report and he granted her request. Without any warning, and without a trial, I was completely cut off without even being allowed to say goodbye or answer a text to explain to my daughter what happened. I have never had any problems with abuse, addictions, or any other legal issues, but Judge Reidy sentenced me and my daughter to no contact and would not set a hearing even after a year. He forced me to settle the case in order to be able to have contact with my daughter.

I found “Judge” Reidy to be [Redacted by Ed.] far more concerned with his pompous and artificially elevated self image than anything remotely resembling justice, equity, or a seeming desire to do even a mediocre job.

I further found him to be lazy, ill prepared and endeavoring to gloss over errors and self contradictions by manufacturing “facts” and circumstances and other contrivances thereby leaving no alternative but a costly appeal.

His incompetence cost both parties tens of thousands of dollars all while he would pat himself on the back in open court as to what a great job he was doing! Puke! He seems to totally lack self awareness and humility.

If DuPage County Family Court is a Swamp, as I’ve heard I it described, and find it to be personally, then “Judge” Reidy is a flourishing swamp creature who seems to relish in the contrived esteem artificially bestowed upon him solely by virtue of his position.

If my male children grown up to be anything remotely as [Redacted by Ed.] and weasel-like as “Judge”:Reidy, I will feel profound sadness and disappointment.

Just awful horrible Judge. Should NOT be in domestic relations court. Has no interest whatsoever to protect the children. Makes comment well crack moms get to have their kids. Have a few DUI's no big deal give mother the kid, mom has drinking problem? No big deal give her the kid. WOW. Makes me sick. He should be removed from bench immediately before a child dies because of his decision making.
