Judge Diane Joan Larsen is extremely fair and patient. She did not jump to any conclusions. She made a very bad situation better for me by not assuming the worst case scenario. If you are innocent or had the misfortune of being defrauded and desire to be in front of a fair Judge, this is the Judge. I sat in and observed countless cases on many court dates including my own. This seemed the case for all her trials. Lovely human being. Thank you.

got transferred recently from law division where she was elected or appointed to, to an entirely different division of chancery, apparently due to multiple acts of misconduct by her and certain of her staff, like below...

I was the defendant in a bad faith defamation suit. Plaintiff BW sued me for writing that he had been indicted for dealing drugs.

The other plaintiff, ECW, was BW's defense attorney for the drug arrest/indictment.

When I obtained pro bono counsel from Latham & Watkins, the plaintiffs non-suited the case.

My attorneys pursued sanctions.

During the deposition of ECW, the plaintiff's attorney behaved badly, including throwing a briefcase at my attorneys.

Judge Larsen decided that both sides were behaving badly and prevented my side from deposing BW.

Neither BW or ECW provided a credible story how BW could be indicted (subsequently dropped) w/o the defendant or his attorney learning of the indictment.

In addition to Larsen making some horrible rulings (I've been told she is inappropriately reluctant to sanction attorneys), she allowed James Roche, the plaintiff's attorney to call my attorneys "jagoffs" in her courtroom.

Larsen is far too permissive of attorneys filing bad-faith suits and generally misbehaving. She's not stupid, but uses her mental prowess to avoid sanctioning attorneys who violate the rules, not reaching just decisions.
