Gwenn is the worst when it comes to listening, being evenhanded, considering ALL the facts presented in a case, inconsiderate and could care less about other people. I truly believe she enjoys ruining families and could careless how her decisions heavily effect children in a negative way and making good parents feel as if they have failed their children and are bad parents.
There are no good words to describe Gwenn as a magistrate for Porter County Juvenile Court. The only word I can think of is heartless!!!

I am looking into figuring out who to contact in order to be heard with what I've dealt with with her. Very unprofessional. For our fact finding hearing she informed our personal attorney and the dcs attorney that she has to be in court all day and didn't feel like listening to our case so she wanted the lawyers to come to an agreement instead. It was at that time that the incident was deemed accidental. Due to the severity of what happened they did not want to close the case and put us in therapy services and what not. Since the accident and dcs involvement my mental health has severely deteriorated. I have struggled my whole life with mental health. As I explained how the case and services have been very detrimental to my mental health Miss Rinkenberger stated to me that a lot of people in the world have the same kind of issues and it isn't relevant. Mind you the accident which I will leave those details out I was not present for and was deemed an accident. I feel that was a huge slap in the face not only to me who has struggled with mental illness but to all who have. She just thinks you are ok because other people have issues too. Also when my lawyer asks if she can ask a question she rolls her eyes and seems very irritated. Can't wait for this to be over.

This Judge has been scheduled to preside over my daughters custody case for my Grandaughter. She has been irresponsible not showing to the hearing she has scheduled. My daughter has to pay her Attorney and has to arrange travel across the country to attend these hearings and to not have this Judge show upon unacceptable. If we as citizens don't show we are punished ! Now this has happened as of tomorrow three times!!!!! The second time we sat at the courthouse for 4 hours before someone mentioned a different Judges name!!!! That is how we found out she wasn't showing !! Then we found out she was on vacation in Puerto Rico!!!!!!! NO ONE bothered to Notify anyone and my daughters Attorney even sent a faxed request for a signature confirming the judge would be there...... and someone inside the judges office confirm d and faxed it back!!!!!! My daughters Attorney demanded a phone call appointment be set right then. The appointment was set for March 9th. Now day before we are notified the judge won't be there!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is irresponsible and costing my daughter THOUSANDS of dollars in attorneys fees and travel!!! Not to mention the emotional trauma of this dragging on for my Grandaughter!!!! I am now going to contact Judge Julia Jent and file a formal complaint. I am also going to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office of Indiana. This is wrong on way too many levels!!!!!!!!!

We have had 3 scheduled appearances with Gwen Rickenberger. We live in Utah state and had to fly out to Indiana for them. We had to pay our attorney, air fare and time away from work only to have her no show all 3 times. What can we do?

Magistrate Rickenberger was not present for 3 status hearings that were scheduled by HER staff. My teenage daughter is at her mercy and is completely devastated every time she is a no show.
