Judge Klavans should not preside over Child Custody Hearings. He is biased toward women. He did not take into consideration the ethics or documented reputations of the parents.

Very politically motivated and biased. A narcissistic poor excuse for a judge. Very unfair in a case of a young offender who served 12 years in another county. Was supposed to run concurrently with Anne Arundel County. This judge reinstated the sentence after the gentleman served his sentence, had been released. Received high praise by probation department. He lost his job and is currently serving more time than originally sentenced. This judge obviously needed votes or endorsement by some cronies. He needs to be investigated and disbarred.

Highly regarded by members of Bar. Intelligent, patient, and fair. Relaxed courtroom environment, great sense of humor. Negative comments on this site tend to be disappointed custody litigates and their attorneys who are venting their spleens.

And yet another AACC judge mirroring the bad faith conduct of retired Judge Paul F. Harris Jr. in the area of Family Law. Rewarding severe parental alienation measures by females, bias towards targeted fathers, refusing to apply law, evidence and factual basis. A consistent pattern in this court as confirmed by a few honest clerks. Perhaps this involves foundational information regarding FL real estate, backdoor promises and holdings?

This is where Thomas J. Fitton should be involved.

Took 8 months to send a divorce ruling. Evidence and testimony showed the plaintiff mother was a drug addict and bipolar. Judge Klavans awarded custody to an unstable mother over a stable father. When pressed for a ruling by the father's attorney it seemed as if he had forgotten the testimony and evidence from the case and ruled simply because she was the mother. She ended up taking the children across the country and alienating them further from the father. Ruling specifically stated that the father could not get a psychologists opinion on the children and the alienation that was happening.

Definitely a lousy pick by the judicial nominating commission. Totally lacking in judicial temperament. Thinks he is above the law. Ran a very dishonest campaign. Lied to voters.

Judge Klavans in my experience was fair and knowledgeable in civil matters. Good temperament. He is and continues to be a great addition to the Circuit Court.

Why on earth would you put this man on the bench. The judicial nominations commission should be fired for putting this inept attorney through. A very dishonest person. Most of what comes out of his mouth is untrue.
