Judge Wallace should be removed. He cannot make decisions without prejudice and being bias. He had no reason to hold a defendant but chose to do so anyway even after it was an agreement with the states attorney that the Defendant could be released. He assumed the defendant was guilty without even having all facts and information.
Searching for away to file an appeal and prove his prejudice. Any information would be welcomed.

Despicable is the first word that comes to mind.This judge is by far unfair in his rulings and in his eyes theres no second chances nor do people rehabilitate.He warehouses these prisoners over and over again with no regards.He disregards the accomplishments/achievements these prisoners make and turns a cold shoulder when they ask for help for further rehabilitation to succeed in normal life. He knows how to keep the statistical individuals in a repeat cycle,instead of addressing the issues at hand jail is always the answer to mr wallace! Sad but true

He is a horrendous judge. He disregards the facts .He has no compassionate ,and he is bias with his ruling.If you have this man as your judge you should prepare to lose the case.He is definately an unreasonable judge.A person does not have to show proof of what you were accused of in order to win the case.He is the kind of judge that makes a person lose faith in the judicial system.

Powertrip after powertrip is the center of this judges decisions.He doesnt care about facts,only his absurb notions.Judges like mr wallace are the reason people boycott and protest, theres clear one sided discrimination in his rulings.Innocent until proven guilty,not in this judges court.Ive personally seen people who were sentenced to incarceration clearly for issues from addiction beg for help and he denys them of that right.Prince georges county residents you deserve better.

Terrible terrible terrible are the only words i can put this judge! Inadequate in his position, there needs to be a judicial review on this judges cases because he forsure is not fair..very very prejudicial . Judges like this are why people have no faith in the justice system

I'm white and a poor boy, but yet extremely discriminated against by this judge. He could care less about the merits of the case or the sanctity of the dead, and the destruction of burial plots as a means of revenge. He even followed another judge who dismissed the initial complaint. Federal law states that only a jury can decide the merits of a case, but judges like this one over rule the Constitution regularly. He should be fired and lose his pension.

Pg county why is this judge still on the bench serving your community? He is by far the most biased racist miserable judge i have ever witnessed in a courtroom! If you are a person of color or a woman forget about it you have already lost before you step foot infront of him. This judge denies motions and pushes back court hearing as many times as he like with no legitimate excuse besides ignorant biased opinions! They way he speaks to the attorneys is absurd also..as im reading reviews on this judge seems im not the only individual who has witnessed the degrading punishment/treatment he gives certain individuals..mr wallace you need to humble yourself and find a heart!

Judge Wallace is a true blessing. He listens intensively and doesn't miss a beat. He has a quiet demeanor in which he is paying attention to EVERYTHING. He has great discernment. I am so thankful that he was able to see that I was a victim of being married to a con artist and narcissist for 10 plus years that wanted me to pay him my hard earned retirement so he could pay child support (while he never paid any bills and wouldn't work). Judge Wallace also pointed out my flaws - that I allowed the defendant to operate as a child and be irresponsible (but I was deceived - defendant told me that he had degrees, military, and it was all a lie). It has been 8 years since that ruling and I have had to go to Judge Wallace at least 5 additional occasions on the same case because the defendant will not follow rules (e.g, paying child costs, defamation, etc.) and each time he is awesome. The defendant thinks he is a celebrity, lives in a fantasy world while having nothing (a true narcissist) and lives off of women to survive. Judge Wallace has been absolutely fair and able to understand both sides. He is quiet which is important to me. A person that listens more than speaks usually is more valuable - means he listens! This judge is an absolute God send.

This judge is the reason people dont believe in the justice system. He comes into a trial with preconceived notions and clear bias. His judgement is flawed and someone like him should be removed from the bench. Not sure if his issue is a bias against men or black men in general but pray you are not a man of color and have to stand before him.

One of the worst when it coems to be fair. He has his way and it is as a former head P.G.County Attorney defending and never seeing plaintiff's side. His harsh rulings show no remorse, sensitivity and pleasantry as he scourges the Courtroom scene. Smart and tells you this in his smirks and rulings that fit his one sided approach to the law.

I've only appeared in front of Judge Wallace once on a petition for judicial review. He ruled against my client, but a couple things were clear. First, he had obviously read the entire record of the agency proceedings, as well as both parties' memoranda in great detail. Second, his ruling was clearly articulated and logical. I disagree with the ruling, but that's a non-issue when it comes to my opinion of this judge: he was prompt, did his homework, and asked pertinent questions. What else can you ask for?

Abousolutely horrible. He was an hour late, refused to speak to or hear from me my co-plantif or witness and simply just waited until our attorney was done speaking and just said no. Honesty I believe our case was too complex and took real attention and sensitivity, something he clearly lacks.

I don't practice in PG County, but I was unfortunate enough to get stuck with him as a visiting judge. Gave an active sentence of more than double the top of the guidelines without explanation. He's as arrogant and out of touch as they come.

The worst judge ever as a male never step foot in front of this judge during a custody dispute. He ruled that because my child was female she would be better with her drug addict mother who has no job and no stable resident and an abusive son, over the father that had raised her when her mother abandoned her for 2 years without contact. I have had the same job for 10 years and live in the same home for 6 re-married and as stable as they come. No criminal record of any kind college educated. My gender make me inelligible to raise a girl in this judges eyes. I hope one day someone final does something about this man he abuses his position and is as unfair as they come.

As a plaintiff's attorney, I advise you to stay far, far away from him. I had to argue a motion in front of him, and watched as he grilled plaintiff's counsel after plaintiff's counsel, while letting defense counsel make their arguments without interruption or follow-up questioning. If you're a plaintiff, you've lost before you even step foot in his courtroom. He is the least impartial judge I have seen, by far.

Seems to scrutinize and question plaintiff's counsel more than the defense. Perhaps with his civil defense background he cant break that habit of being skeptical of plaintiff cases. Plaintiff's counsel should know going into a hearing/trial that you are going to have to work slightly harder than your counterpart.

Because of a mix-up, he had the wrong case file. He insisted on hearing the case even though the other judge was ready for it and Judge Weatherly already said we couldn't use that courtroom because she did not think we had an emergency.

He then ruled on a motion already ruled on by Judge Weatherly and insisted on a trial even though the motion had all but disposed of the case and we were merely there to calculate the right amount. In effect, he held up the emergency courtroom for a whole day on a case he should never have heard, and real emergencies were then turned away.

He peppered me with questions about the defendant which were best answered by the defendant who was present in the courtroom with his attorney. In fact, his questions throughout the case clearly showed that he was a light-weight.

Finally, he applied the wrong law on a very elementary legal principle and therefore reached the wrong conclusion.

I don't know how you can screw up a case any worse.

I hear his name and I laugh! My opposing counsel in one of our cases and I got together to compare notes, and both reached the same conclusion: how did he get on the bench? I could list all his transgressions but I'd need a whole website. A complete joke!

I have only had J. Wallace in family law matters. I first encountered him right after he was appointed to the bench. J. Wallace made it quickly known that he was the smartest lawyer that he knew, case law be damned.

However, as time progressed his ego deflated and he has the makings of a very good judge.

Judge Wallace has a very good grasp of both procedural and substantive law, will hear argument fairly on objections and motions, and allows the parties to try their cases within clear and predictable boundaries. He is certainly one of the best judges in the County.

He conducts Settlement Conferences with an even hand and is always respectful to counsel and litigants.

Judge Wallace is the most prepared judge that I have appeared in front of in the 21 years of practice whether it be motions arguments or trial. He reads everything that is submitted to him and actually spends time researching issues that the attorneys fail to brief. He treats everyone that appears in front of him with the up most respect and is extremely patient.
