There was no evidence of what this man accused me of and you believed him. You gave him primary decision making and he took your order and moved out of the state. I have 4 other children and you did not look into the status of my 4 other children. A cps investigation produced a decision of child negligence on him.. He maltreated and assaulted my daughter. I pay him child support. I don’t have money for an attorney. I have to represent my daughter on my own. I pray for the court to grant my petition to remove crystal Mittelstaedt from overseeing my case. She has destroyed lives.

Judge Mittelstadt intentionally dismissed my DeNovo trial in Favor of my Grandchild Stepfather, a Convicted criminal of Domestic Violence and Handgun, she had evidence of Strangulation, Belt beatings and Neglect. Than she Granted No Contact with the Grandparent! I filed a complaint with the Commission on Judicial Misconduct and Governor Larry Hogan office. They did nothing. Judges are allowing Children to be abused in Abusive household for Federal Grants

Crystal Mittelsteadt denied Jackie M. Lewis a protective order. Subsequently, Jackie M. Lewis was killed by her boyfriend, the same man she tried to protect herself from. The Prince George”s judicial system is very aware of Crystal Mittelsteadt and they have yet to do anything to protect the public from her.

This judge has been incompetant for as long as she's been on the bench. The problem is that no one cares-until they have to go before her. My daughter is now 24 and although it's been 10 years, we still talk about the scars left by this horrible woman.

For over 19 years I have worked with a population that is under serviced. They may not speak the King’s English (neither do I), but they deserve to be heard and treated fairly. They have valid issues and deserve assistance.The Prince George’s County Family Court is a system of individuals who purposefully keep the under served limited.

I see my daughter 4 days a month. No one should have to fight to keep their child protected, safe and clean. Your decision to deny my daughter a BIA on 3 separate occasions, has caused a CPS case in the state her father took her to to be opened and closed. A CPS case that did not have to be opened, if a BIA was assigned to the case. The man said to you that there was -no finding- of abuse or neglect. This was about the 8th or 9th time in your courtroom. You said to him that the cps documents do not reflect what he is stating. It should not have taken so many appearances in your courtroom for you to see that abuse was occurring. If a BIA was assigned when she was 4, the neglect and physical abuse that occurred post the requests, would have been prevented. You treated me like the abuser every time I entered your courtroom. You treated me like the abuser for requesting assistance in a situation I KNEW my daughter and I did not belong in the situation we were being forced by you to be in. Definitely an extension of abuse.

Laws in the United States are made to protect criminals more than created to protect the interests of the victim. The intent of laws in the United States are to suppress evidence and protect violators from self incrimination. So who protects children and the truth tellers? Just like civil court, in family court the scales of justice needs to be tipped slightly. She will not include pertinent details and information presented by victims and witnesses.

My case was not a -one time event- that Crystal Mittelstadet could have gotten information wrong. My case was years of petitions showing abuse and neglect my daughter suffered at the hands of her father and his family. Documents on top of documents of abuse and neglect of a child . Documentation from doctors and family member substantiating abuse and neglect my child endured while living with her father. My child attended 5 schools over a 2 year period. This along with other validated information showing neglect was presented to you. The father spoke about me moving and you considered his testimony. I lived in the same area. You ignored everything I presented. fast forward to today. My child said that her stepmother was unable to help her because the stepmother was intoxicated. This judge’s caliber is what is in control of America. People are afraid to speak the truth because they will be called liars. The truth is skewed by a mindset that are not truth tellers but story tellers. With this mindset you won’t see a problem solved, you will see them getting their way. You won’t see help, you will see a street fight (for lack of better terms). I mentioned to my child’s family member something that took place in school with my child. The family members response was that the child is treated like -royalty. I questioned how does a child failing and treating like royalty relate? The family member got defensive. This is the same mindset as Judge Mittelstadet. It is a certain kind of caliber of people. I questioned how this judge listened to the testimony of this family and not put anything in place to protect this child. This judge is of the same mindset.

Crystal Mittelstadet is an extension of abuse. She has compromised the safety of my child. She accused me of things I did not do. I feared to speak in her courtroom. Between her actions and the actions of my daughter’s father, I knew I could not speak without being punished. I had to come to grips with what was happening. I had to come to grips with my daughters future. I got court transcripts to see if I was missing cues from the judge. I wasn’t. Nothing was done to cause her speak to me in the manner that she did. It was painful read the transcripts. It is painful to discover I said nothing to provoke the judge. During another hearing in her courtroom, she spoke harshly to me and said “No one told you to speak!” I wasn’t.; no one was. The transcript reflected that no one was speaking. She was reading a document and the courtroom was quiet.

I asked for specific time to be set so I could teach my child to read and develop her social skills, You denied my many requests. By denying me she denied my daughter. Maryland Attorney General is investigating Retired Medical Examiner David Fowler for making false reports during his tenure as a M.E. We live in a time of transparency. We live in a time of accountability. Not everything may be what it is presented to be but when there is blatant violations of peoples rights, one should not be “ok” with it. Judge Mittelstadet has blatantly violated the rights of women and children. We should not be “ok” with her. For years I have been stating that she needs to be investigated and removed from overseeing domestic court cases. I will never stop. The life of my daughter will never be ok. We are people. We are already statics by entering your courtroom and you continue to make us statistics with struggles we did not have to carry if they were dealt with properly in the courtroom. She has accused me of calling CPS to many times. Subsequently at the age of 8 my daughter was assaulted by her Dad. CPS investigated him. He denied the assault. There was evidence of neglect. CPS is holding this case on record for 10 years. Without a doubt Crystal Mittelstadet has violated the rights of children.

For her to deny a protective order for a woman, then blame the woman for not having evidence of being harmed or threatened by the man that would later kill her is erroneous. If an “act” puts a woman in FEAR of being harmed that along with other information should be enough. It is the TOTALITY of circumstances rather than BRIGHT LINED RULES. The totality of circumstances are things a judge is to look for. Laypeople get the abbreviated versions of laws. We get snippets of laws that are shortened for several reasons.... that does not mean it’s ok for this judge to take a short cut on the lives of women and children.

In my daughters case, child abuse was reported to Crystal Mittelstadet, she stated that CPS was called too many times. Subsequently after trial it was discovered that the father and his sister limited the police investigators and Social Services access to the home and children in the home. The fact that Crystal Mittelstadet trivializes lives in cases presented to her is a gut wrenching. How can she be allowed to oversee cases involving the lives of children in need. Yes the cost to present a case in court is tremendous. The attorney fees and filing fees, should cause her to consider paying more attention to what can be done to protect a child BUT the cost of lives not being protected in her courtroom is immeasurable. She did not have the wisdom to say things did not add up in my daughters case. When on the stand she asked me if I called CPS. I stated I did and over a 2 year period, two other pediatricians called CPS in regards to my daughters abuse. Nothing was done to protect my daughter. I am so crushed that I have a hard time stating what has happened to my daughter since being in Crystal Mittelstadets courtroom. No one should have to fight so hard in her courtroom to protect themselves and their children. She needs to be investigated.

I spent hundreds of dollars on purchasing the court transcripts for my cases Crystal Mittelstadet oversaw. I came to grips that she will never understand the damage she has caused in my daughters life. Crystal Mittelstadet is not “ok”. Very accusatory language although there is no evidence of what she is accusing of. If I was doing what she accused me of in my daughters case then she should not remain in the role she is in. If I was doing what she accused me of, she should have ordered mental wellness evaluations, social services to check upon my other children and look that I formally be changed. To be honest I was hoping she did one or all of the aforementioned so that the father would have to abide by the rules. Crystal Mittelstadet is not “ok”. She can’t be allowed to operate in this manner and it not be reported to the Maryland Bar Association.

In 2006, Judge Crystal D. Mittelstaedt denied a Protection Order application made by Jackie Lewis. Jackie Lewis was killed by her boyfriend. It is 2018 and the gross neglect of her duties still exists. For the Senior judges not to take every complaint seriously about judge mittelstaedt, is gross neglected their duties. Judge Crystal Mittelstaedt granted sole custody of my daughter to her Dad after he never requested it. He has moved out of state with a little girl. I see her 4days a month. I am numbed every time I pick her up and she is smelly, wearing soiled underwear and dirty clothes. I take an extra 4.5 hour drive once or twice a month to chaperone school trips pick her up or meet with teachers. He has not placed me on me 6 year old daughters contact sheet after asking. Her teacher shared that she only can identify/read 25 out of 125-150 sight words. Please leave my post. I will repost with out reservation. This situation was /is embarrassing and degrading . I've watched this judge grant immigrants citizenship to the US and custody to their caretakers with no problem. They came over here illegally and was granted stay. During my Cus today case she denied every right I had as a mother to protect and do what's best for my child. Not only did she seem racist to her own kind but woman in general. This woman favors the fathers and gives them what they think they deserve as an parent. With ALL the evidence and facts being brought to the table. I've watched this judge lecture pro-se litigants on the importance of having an Attorney and then turn around and violate their rights to due process.

This judge will allow Attorney's to commit fraud in her court knowingly against Pro Se Litigants as if your right to Due Process is dependent upon your representation or lack thereof.

Irrespective of rulings... Stating to a Pro Se Litigant she will not offer special consideration because they are not represented, while at the same time objecting to evidence, testimony, questions WHILE a person whom has representation Attorney doesn't say anything is doing what she said she wouldn't do.

Ex. Watched a woman who was Pro Se be objected from the bench certain testimony and evidence while the other party had an attorney who didn't lodge any objections... then turn around and watch this Attorney introduce video evidence which wasn't properly requested beforehand with a motion and she let it fly.

Ex # 2 Allowed an Attorney to remove key court generated evidence from a case file which wasn't known until trial. Then committed fraud stating the evidence was never there. After trial the evidence was found had been scanned into the system and found.

If you're a Pro Se Litigant make sure you get a complete copy of your case file in PG County. She is a special appointment by Martin O'Malley who needs to be recalled. She thinks only citizens who have Attorneys deserve due process and even then she is impervious to reason.

Judge Mittelstaedt is basic/ elementary and rather low-grade for a judge. Excuse my terms,but there is no ther manner to make you aware of what this judge is. A VERY DIFFICULT to deal with situation happened in my case presented to this judge. But the only way you can understand how low- grade Judge Mittelstaedt is, is for me to state that it was a case involving a sex offense of a minor.My child on several occasions while in th custody of the other parent. Judge Mittelstaedt stated that the use of Social Services was abused. During counseling it was established that because of the age of my child at the time of the
events, the events will be remembered by my child. As a parent if I knew about these events and did not report them, where would that leave me or my child? Then Judge Mittelstaedt would say that I had knowledge about the abuse, but did nothing.

This seems to be commonplace in this state. It is crazy in AA County too. My son's ex-wife is a serial false accuser and accused both him, husband #3 and husband #2 of DV. She also accused a patient at a hospital where she worked. No one can see a pattern here. The judge in our case said he has no doubt she is violent, but that's not why we are here. She has full custody of the child and my son has supervised visits. Go figure!

She rules in favor of the father in most cases I've seen, ripping children from their mothers. She should be removed from the bench. Horrible Judge! My son had lived with me for 12 years. I was Active Duty Military for eight years then worked at the Pentagon for 7 years. My parents and other relatives have always lived 10 minutes away from since my son's birth. My son made A's and B's and was heavily involved in Church and sports year round. My son's father (who is also in the Military) had decided to keep our son while he was stationed in England after a summer visit. I had emails of blackmail from his father demanding that I provide a notary that he could have custody of our son for the next seven years. Needless to say I had to get an Attorney. Long story short, my case was not scheduled long enough (only 1/2 day). His father showed up alone (without his wife and three other children.) I was questioned and grilled on the stand for 4 hours straight by my son's father Attorney, only to run OUT of time. The case was extended and scheduled "2 1/2 months" later. Now his father shows up with his family and has had the advantage to hear "all" of my testimony so he and his Attorney could prepare his LIES! To make a very long story short the Judge stated that I WAS A FIT parent, however gave physical custody to his "military" father because his wife was a stay at home mom and they lied about almost everything. Now my son has been shifted from three different schools, has been refused visitation, his father left the country for 10 months and told my son and his wife not to tell me (I had to contact his job to discover that he was gone) and the laundry list goes on and on to include poor school grades! Although his father and I have joint legal custody, because of the outrageous litigation by Judge Middlestastd and continued outrageous behavior of my son's father and wife I have had to obtain another Attorney to fight for my rights with my son! Thanks Judge Middlestastd for making such an unintelligent decisions. You give custody to a man who has displayed repeated poor character and parental guidance. Thanks alot for all the hell you have put my family and I through. I hope you sleep well at night because for two years now I have been crying every single night because of the "injustice" you have done for me. If you are reading this, if at all possible avoid having the court system dictate your family life...especially when some are not well versed or simply lack just and clear judgment. Not all judges, but certainly Judge Middlesteadst. My story can absolutely become a movie. I have never in a day in my life mistreated my son. I served my country for eight years, worked at the Pentagon as a DOD Civilian, and obtain my college degree while being a mother and father to my son for 12 years. My son has turned out great because I laid the foundation. I was so shocked at the verdict. I simply fell down on my knees crying like a baby. I have obtained copies of the transcripts so when my son becomes a man and have "mature" reasoning he can listen to every single word that was said and he can hear first hand the many LIES that his father and wife told. A few weeks after the case, I went back up to the court to look into my case file to see if there was something that I missed or that was said that could have possibly convince a Judge to take a child from his mother after 12 years while being an great student and well rounded child in the community! My case files consist of about 20-30 pages! I found nothing that could possibly have caused this. Thanks for screwing up my life Judge Middlestead. I am still fighing for my rights! Horrible judge! My son had lived with me for 12 years. I was Active Duty Military for 8 years then worked at the Pentagon. My parents and other relatives have always lived 10 minutes away from since my son's birth. My son made A's and B's and was heavily involved in Church and sports year round. My son't father (who is also in the Military) had decided to keep our son while he was staioned in England after a summer visit. I had emails of blackmail from his father demanding that I provide a notoray that he could have custody of our son for the next seven years. Needless to say I had to get an Attorney. Long story short, my case was not scheduled long enough (only 1/2 days). His father showed up alone (without his wife and three other childeren.) I was questioned and gruled on the stand for 4 hours straight by my son'd father Attorney, only to run OUT of time. The case was extended and shceduled "2 1/2 months later. Now his father shows up with his family and has had the advantage to hear all of my testimony so he could prepare his LIES! Long story short. She didn't care that my son's Dad was a documented liar. She didn't care that the circuit court illegally allowed the psych. evaluator, Jeanne Allegra to not be subpoenaed unless I came up with $1,500.00; She didn't care that my son, who's now in his Dad's care has failed out of Eleanor Roosevelt & is barely passing Northwestern. She didn't care that my son's Dad lied in court.

Judge Mittelstaedt was extremly knowledgable, professional and fair-minded. She treated the pro se litigant with the same level of respect that she treated the attorney representing the other side. I wish that all judges on the bench in Prince George's County Circuit Court were as respectful as Judge Mittelstaedt.
