I think Vonda Evans ROCKS as a judge. It's too bad that an unfortunate set of circumstances caused her resignation. (I can't comment in detail because my knowledge of those circumstances leading up to that point is limited. Although I get the notion that she was held to a "higher standard" of expectation that of other jurists.)
Nonetheless, I like her no "BS" attitude and the fact that she didn't tolerate ANY disrespect (esp from career criminal DUDES). The DUDE who was convicted of rape who tried to cuss her out was "taken out" in more ways than one She definitely "took out the trash" on that one (Equally as important, she took the worthless POS off the streets for a very long time. Vonda Evans is a tough and fair judge. She wants to make sure that everyone is respectful and understanding in her courtroom. She does have a bad temper with a fit of anger if anyone is upset, frustrated, talking back, or swearing. She always says “take him/her out!!!” if anyone in her courtroom starts to act out, so the bad news is that she won’t allow anyone to leave her courtroom until the hearing is over. If you want to attend Evans’ courtroom, you need to be brave, respectful, and do exactly as she asked. If you think it’s too emotional to attend a hearing, please do not come to her courtroom. Otherwise, you’ll be sitting like you’re in a school detention where you can’t talk.
