Disgusting Judge and human being. This wretched person is a disgrace to the bench. It is a shame that she makes decisions in custody cases and does not take into consideration the welfare of a child. Shen ruled on a custody case giving custody to a drunk, drugged addict mother and her family. They are currently being brought to court by the county for neglect. [Redacted by Ed. ] She refuses to allow the father any contact with the child. Covering her ASS I believe. Only God knows how many children's life she has ruined. [Redacted]

Fast forward 2.5 years. The drug and alcohol addicted mother and alcoholic grandmother given custody have and "indicated" report of neglect and abuse towards the child from OFCS. Because of Klein, OFCS has no familial options for the removal they are planning. This is exactly what the forensic psychologist and father tried to prevent. Klein choose to ignore drug and alcohol abuse, DV and mental health issues (legal definition of an unfit parent) because the grandparents are friends of friends. Klein robbed this child of stability and safe home environment. Carol Klein is a disgrace.

I have set in on a remote session conducted by Judge Klein n I am disgused by her rudeness n the way she disregards the concerns of those who have stepped up to help the children that they ( the family court system) has placed a family in need of a stable living arrangement per the court order. She doesn't care about the safety of the children she picks side n doesn't look into.tje placement of which she puts kids into. I have seen rensselaer County cps n the court system fail children in so many situations that its scary. When does the systems stop n think n fully investigate all parties involved rather than being close minded n only focused on the cps information that is provided. Renss Co. Cps is known to be one of the worse to put ur child's safety in they fail most of.time. I just now witnessed judge klien place 3 children in hands of opiat abusers n cps knowing that one parent is mentally unfit n has a founded child abuse judge klien u are terrible at defending our children of the future n the system needs to clean up here axt n remember ur dealing with children n they deserve ur undivided attention to make discisions of thier well being . Judge klien if u can't do the job step down n let someone do the job rt. How many families n.chilren r u going to destroy n put in harm with ur bias prejudice n big headed ego. U were elect to make a difference for the better by the ppl of rensselaer County not make it worse. U are not capable of making safe discision for our children n I hope rensselaer Co does not reelect u u r not safe for our children.STEP DOWN BEFORE A CHILD GETS HURT UNDER UR DISCISIONS

Judge klein is incompetent, rude and dismisses concerns of child abuse including mental and emotional abuse. She does not listen to the concerns of the child when she has an in camera session where the child specifically states they want to live with one parent over the other because of abuse. This judge makes gross error in judgement more often than not. Get her off the bench

This Judge is fair, and considers all viewpoints before making a decision. She has the experience and the skill to render decisions that offer the best long term results for all parties involved. After reading some of the comments left here, it is obvious that they are written by someone who “lost” their case, and only see that loss, not the long term benefit to the child or children involved.

Judge Klein is a fair, knowledgeable and experienced judge. She is compassionate but firm. She is respectful to all who appear before her and always works to achieve what is in the best interest of the child. It is a pleasure to appear before her.

In my sons case she put a 3 yr order of protection because his attorney didn’t hear call. Police report said no physical abuse. His wife went next day and said he strangled her. My son does not have his clothes a year, his wife alienated him by changing children’s phone numbers etc. The law guardian Williams needs serious help. He doesn’t talk to two sides and doesn’t give a dam. Some of you mentioned “investigations “ how do we start this process.

So after giving custody to a known crackhead mommy and a know drunk grandma the Child is failing second grade. FAILING SECOND GRADE!!! Great job. When the Child lived with the father, the Child excelled at school. Obviously Klein hates stable homes for children if those homes are with the fathers. Absolutely disgusting.

UPDATE: Mother who was given custody of child has been seen around town in a drunken stupor and we have pictures of her passed out in a Burger King covered in her own puke. Good job CRS and Judge Klein. So instead of a stable two parent home, private school she gets to live with that.

This judge makes a mockery of the countries judicial system. I was involved in a contentious custody case and she ignored all evidence pertaining to mothers unfitness as a parent and instead focused on the minutia of fathers deficients. Ultimately, the child is now in a home where there have been multiple DV calls and incidences, drug overdoses and multiple mental health calls. Child is in custody of alcohol, drug abusing, mentally unstable people. A travesty

A good friend of mine has mad the misfortune of having Judge Klein preside over his family court appearances for close to 5 years now. I've attended a number of these hearings and have been deeply concerned about the way she conducts the proceedings. She is rude, prejudiced, unprepared and condescending. It's tremendously worrisome to know that the fate of a good man and his family is in the hands of this unqualified, cold-hearted woman who should not be in this position. I hope she can be rehabilitated or removed from the bench. She is harming the lives of good people.
