White Plains New York Supreme Court Justice JOAN B. LEFKOWITZ is dumb as a doorknob so please don’t even try to reason with her, present her with intelligent legal arguments, or anything else intellectual. However, if you are a jewish lawyer or litigant, and especially if you attend her synagogue, she will bend over backwards to accommodate you and rule in your favor. If she screws you over also, make sure you file a complaint against her with the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct.

Abundance of pushing papers to eliminate trials that need to be tried
Supposed to give plaintiffs favor with evidence HOWEVER this judge just has her staff rubber stamp in favor of big business instead of the little guy the citizens who voted for her but she has a short memory to be thorough and fair
Especially she stopped given the plaintiff a chance to be heard in trial
This judge stopped bring a judge passes her decisions to her staff to make and puts a bad taste in the judicial system

Reflection and refresher courses are needed here

Judge Lefkowitz is a no-nonsense, very effective judge. She is smart, knows her stuff and can immediately get right to the heart of the matter.
As the old saying goes "the taxpayers are definitely getting their moneysworth here". We need more jurists just like her.

Evinces a complete disregard for legal niceties such as the explicit language of the CPLR and the case law of the Second Circuit. Solely interested in moving the docket at all costs. Her law clerks take their cues from the top, leading to a rocket-docket mentality with little concern for substantive justice or even compliance with settled legal standards. Willing to sacrifice litigants' substantive rights on the altar of expeditious paper shiffling. Move 'em in, move 'em out.

I am always amazed at how the system works (or doesnt work in most cases) the judges do not work. Their clerks (lawyers) do all of the research and the judge signs it. period. if you think a judge is carefully or closely paying attention to your case you are mistaken. Lefkowitz is slow to respond and her referee does not know the law

She is an excellent judge. Her style on the bench is tough, but friendly. Her singular talent is settling cases. She knows how to price a case, and how to twist arms to get a case settled.

Judge Lefkowitz should be investigated and impeached for abusing her oath of office to uphold the laws of the State of New York, its constitution and the constitution of the United States. Judge Lefkowitz signed a fraudulent foreclosure order by attorney's who had falsely verified and misrepresented facts to attain a fraudulent foreclosure judgment order. The bank, it's representatives, attorney's, and Judge Lefkowitz’s own appointed referee committed fraud on the court by falsely affirming under penalty of perjury that an innocent victim of a mortgage fraud attained by a fraudulent forged power of attorney was on a note and mortgage when in fact he was not on the note and unaware that a mortgage had been attained by a forged power of attorney. The rubber stamping of documents should not be tolerated especially by a judge who has a duty to uphold the law and her oath of office. A person was victimized by identity theft and with further criminal activity attained with a fraudulent forged power of attorney. The ownership of his property was changed without his knowledge or consent and a fraudulent Mortgage was attained which by law was void against the victim by criminal and civil statue. And yet the note in someone else’s name, who purportedly transferred the deed to another person without any consideration what so ever was left off scot free. The attorneys having the facts along with the appointed referee falsely claimed that the victim was on the "note and the mortgage" to get a fraudulent foreclosure order. There was no investigation and Judge Lefkowitz victimized the victim again by finding that the victim benefited by the fraud. A family with disabled members and one child who suffers from autism lost their home by a biased self serving judge acting outside the scope of her employment protecting fellow lawyers, organizations, referees, title company(s), real estate agents, assistant district attorneys, hiding and concealing bankruptcy fraud along with other criminal activity to achieve an unjust inequitable result covering herself and her friends from the consequences using her power from the bench.
