Comments:
This judge refused to grant summary judgment based upon misunderstanding a basic legal concept - one that I would have expected a first year law student to understand. The judge's law secretary is a tyrant. Recently, Judge McCormack was promoted to the Appellate Division - the Peter Principle proves true again!

Comments:
Judge McCormack has a good judicial demeanor and personality. Smart jurist. However, his law secretary, Gregg Roth, who handles the case conferences, is abusive and unprofessional to the attorneys who appear before him. The judge may know this and just wants someone to handle his case load. That is unfortunate, as Mr. Roth makes this part not a desireable one for litigants or attorneys.

May be the best judge on the bench in Nassau. A gentleman and very smart, which is a very rare combination for a judge in NY.

Comments:
As stated by another reviewer, the Judge allows his law secretary Gregg Roth to run the part and make all decisions. Mr. Roth is a hot head who has little or no interest in grasping the facts or law. He is terribly biased.

Comments:
This jurist at first impresses as engaged and evenhanded, however motions are dealt with in a superficial manner seemingly without concern for reversal. He is too willing to allow his Law Secretary, Gregg Roth handle matters, and this reflects poorly on the judge in a multitude of ways. Outcomes in cases seem to be more dependent on extraneous circumstances than the evidence that is presented, and the law and logic become distorted to fit an agenda. Dangerous.

I have been practicing plaintiff's personal injury and medical malpractice litigation for 25 years. I truly feel that this judge is one of the best around. He was in private practice for years before taking the bench. He understands what we have to accomplish and that cases cannot always go as smoothly as we would all like. I give Judge McCormack my highest rating.

Not much a grasp on complex litigation and not respect to the Appellate Divison over turing him

Comments:
I cannot support the positive reviews of this jurist. His decision in a major recent political case reflected deep prejudice in favor of vested interests as opposed to the public at large. His decisions are simplistic and the logic self-fulfilling, rather than nuanced and defensible. He has a genteel veneer and the manner of a judge, but is empty at core. His staff is less polished and similarly vapid.

I wish he could be cloned. I cannot state enough good things about him, and I can state that I have no negative things to say. Bravo!

It is a pleasure to be in his courtroom. Wonderful man. One of the few Nassau judges who will give a plaintiff an even break.
