Many of the negative comments are from lawyers who are ill prepared and have an ax to grind. Judge McMahon is demanding but at least you get your trial in a fair and just manner. Stop whining and just show up READY and cross your "T's" and dot your "I's" - you will not have a problem with her. She respects lawyers who are prepared

The worst! She deliberately miscontrued precedent and I asked that she explain it to me on the record. She was stupid enough to lie about the holding and the facts of that case on the record which, of course, resulted in her wrongheaded outcome based jurisprudence. The Second Dept. reversed. She should not be on the bench.

I was in court for ten years and she destroyed from taking away every thing that Judge Fusco awarded me for keeping on postponing to accommodate the other lawyer plus Mr. Frank Seddio that he represent the three Lawyer that committed a mortgage swindle and then she excuse her self and put judge Kim Dollard and put the icing on the cake to finish me off from the verdict that Judge Fusco had awarded me

Judge McMahon screams at litigants denying them their constitutional rights to have a fair and impartial judges and the rights to be heard. She does not enforce the laws that she is entrusted to enforce...a real shame!!!

I must admit that this judge has a fiery personality, but it suits her as the Administrative Judge. She makes quick and fair decisions and doesnt take any crap from unreasonable lawyers. I have been on both sides of her tough side, but each time (admittedly) she was right.

I suspect that the people who bad-mouthed her on this site are probably half-assed lawyers who either were not prepared or were discourteous to their adversaries (the latter she has zero tolerance for).

She has a lot on her plate, but that is no excuse for the occasional outburst...(but who among us has not had a bad day, especially in court!)

Uses courtroom for enforcing rather than stopping federal offenses, perjury, false financial claims, overt property thefts and aiding and abetting in financial crimes against federal government and the public. Along with other S.I. judges lacks any respect or for the complex work of DOJ, FBI or other law enf. agencies and the court staff objects even proven by federal prosecutors findings against lawyers fraudsters. Brotherhood among lawyers and mutual protection dominates and prevails even if involved lawyer is disbarred and sent to jail or still is licensed but under DOJ scrutiny. Court staff has no respect to law, to due process and makes decisions that contradict proven prosecutors findings about RE, mortgage, identities and bank frauds. PRO-CRIME, PRO-FRAUDS, pro property thefts even without mortgages and PRO-COLLECTORS. Must have undisclosed interests for underlying reasons persistently in all cases granting any absurd, unsubstantiated by any proofs or contradicted by facts decisions strictly in favor of the false claims filing banks and collectors. Other judges and referees are parting with her in misuse of the public trust and the courtroom for crimes.

I went before her a couple of times in a foreclosure action. I represented the homeowners against the bank. I found her to be no-nonsense. The bank was dragging its feet in settling this matter so she immediately put it down for trial to force them to settle. So, I'm not sure if she has a bias either way. For my client, she helped settle the case faster and saw through the bank's lies.

This judge is very, very sneaky. She helps the banks in every which way possible. She conceals important documents -- I requested to see a copy of something that was supposed to be included in an affidavit, but was missing. Her assistant told me I would be given a copy, and I never was. When I confronted her about it, she lied to me and said she never said I could have a copy. It was all on the record, so I don't know why she's lying! Anyway, I have every right to see the document, and it was missing from the affidavit! Such a crooked courtroom. I will get that document -- probably not from her, but I will get it. I wonder why she's so desperate to hide it from me -- probably because she knows there is fraud involved in my case, and she does not want anyone to know. She covers up for the bankster fraudsters.

She is crooked, biased, sneaky and corrupt. She writes in lies on her decisions -- she ignores what the motion is really about, and instead writes a bunch of bull that honestly just makes no sense at all. And, she tries to mislead you on when the motion was actually decided. I guess she is hoping to confuse you so that you will have trouble appealing it, or so she thinks...ha! I'm onto her schemes! (And, I'm on to the appeals court!)

I would also like to add that I refuse to be intimidated and bullied by Judge McMahon and her staff. I am an American citizen and I am entitled to my rights and to be protected by the laws of my country. My rights have been violated and the laws have been ignored in her courtroom and I have been denied due process. This judge has given permission to a "thief" to have ownership of my home. This "thief" has come into court with robo-signed, altered, forged and phony documents, but Judge McMahon is still allowing this "thief" to foreclose on my home. I want everyone to know this. I am contacting the newspapers, the media, Congress, the President of the United States, the Justice Department, the OCC, the SEC, the Banking Department, and many others. No one should have their home stolen from them this way, especially in a court of law that is supposed to be there to protect us from fraudsters like this!

Someone needs to step in and investigate this so-called judge. She does not follow the law, and she bases her decisions on her own thoughts without any regard to the law. She is way out of control. What kind of judge tricks people, hides important documents from them, colludes with the banks, dismisses people from speaking (and just gets up and walks off the bench), and accepts false documents? And when she is told about it, she does not even care to inquire if the documents are indeed legit or not, it's because she just "does not care," which are the exact words she said to me. She is throwing families on Staten Island out of their homes based on false documents that she refuses to even look at! It is insane! Thank goodness there is an appeals court because I cannot wait to show them everything -- they will be pretty amazed and in disbelief.

This judge just cannot comprehend the simple fact that the law needs to be applied in every case regardless of what her personal agenda is. If she has other opinions of how she would like the law to be then, she needs to take that up with the U.S. government. But, until then, she must understand that a law is a law and that, as American citizens, people have a right to be protected by those laws. That is the reason the laws were put in place many, many years ago, to protect citizens from evil, vindictive judges. She treats people like they are beneath her and does not even let you present your case to her. She cuts you off as soon as you bring up the laws, and then tells you to leave the courtroom. She doesn't want it to be put on the record, that's why. It's a real shame that the people of Richmond County got stuck with a biased, arrogant, nasty judge like her. She is ruining lives and she does not care.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had and I am no rookie. She has never practiced law to the best of my understanding and lacks judicial temprament. She simply does not want to hear the facts in an unbiased and rational manner. Disregards the law and is disrepectful to counsel and clients.She misquotes the law to reach a conclusion she wants to achieve. I am not sure if she has a pro plaintiff or pro defendant bias; I just think she is against banks, insurance companies, landlords, successful people...anything that has to do with capitalism. Thankfully we have an Appellate Division.

She needs to actually "listen" to what defendants actually have to say.She is rude.She needs to abide the law and not ignore the facts that are put out there right in front of her face.A motion is made for a reason,not to be ignored by her.She is not a fair judge and I will be appealing her decision if she does not make the right one.And,I have no problem filing a report against her for not doing things by the book.Every law must be abided by whether she like it or not.I don't care if she favors the attorneys over pro-se,that is her perogative...but,she needs to follow the laws that is why they were written.If she doesn't want to do that,then she can step off her bench and let someone else take over that will.We all deserve fair justice,and that I don't see her giving.

I had a motion in front of her and she refused to hear it saying that dispositive motions don't stay discovery (which is 100% incorrect - they do). She obviously knew the other (local SI) attorney and was being intentionally biased. After discovery I refiled the motion and oddly enough the case settled. In addition to being crooked, her temperament is unbelievably crass.

if you get her on a day that she is not otherwise mentally engaged or mentally absent, she actually does know the law.. unfortunately this is rare ..more often than not she is busy handing out pre-printed decisions sometimes with the wrong caption just to push paper so she can devote her time to politics and her personal ambition to get to a higher court ... she is both impatient and intolerant ..

I have had a threshold motion returnable before Judge McMahon since July 2010. Now after numerous adjournments given to plaintiff's counsel in am attempt to defeat my motion with his terrible case, he finally sent me a reply six months later without a doctor's affirmation. I timely responded with a reply and the case was marked final. However, Judge McMahon decided to grant yet another adjournment at the final conference and told plaintiff's counsel to get a doctor's affirmation and send in a second opposition which is completely rediculous. SHE IS A COMPLETE PRO-PLAINTIFF TERRIBLE JUDGE. It's no wonder that her courtroom is completely overcrowded on motion conference days. She refuses to make any decisions and allows cases to drag on for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. I give her the lowest rating available (that is unless I brought a garbage plaintiff's case before her).
