All the comments about him being a patient jurist, are as accurate as can be. He is truly a pleasure to be before. Smart, and more than fair to both sides. He lets you try your case. That said, I think he needs to shut down attorneys, myself include perhaps, who argue incessantly. My adversary opposed a one day application during the trial, so I could go out of state and place my aunt, for whom I was her POA and Medical proxy, in hospice. He let him argue for 20 minutes, rather than the 20 seconds he should have allowed. His desire to allow for a complete record, sometimes gets in the way of keeping control. I would still gladly appear before him.

Judge Saitta is truly a delight and a pleasure to deal with. He’s Kings County Supreme’s saving grace. He read our papers and took a sincere interest in the parties situation. His law clerk and law secretary are equally warm and attentive to each case and attorney in their part. Even the rough-edged court officer was pleasant. Pray all your Kings matters end up in his part.

He is definitely pro plaintiff. He may be respectful and pleasant, but this is out of concern for his own health rather than for litigants. His Law Clerk writes many of his decisions and some of them are off base.
If you like a judge who writes law from his bench to fit a particular situation or case, you have a friend in him.

I don't know where OCA found this man, but we should all be grateful that this patient and intelligent person sits on the bench. He treats people with the respect and dignity they deserve. I lost a trial in front of him, and had zero complaints about how he handled everything. He is well versed in the law and a pleasure to work with.

If you find yourself assigned to this jurist for trial you should thank your lucky stars. He is a pleasure to be in front of. He allows attorneys to try their cases. His rulings are thoughtful and the product of knowledge, reseach and common sense. He treats all lawyers with respect. You will get a good and fair trial.

In my one case before him, over several appearances, he was knowledgeable and patient, going to some effort to hear, and assess, each side's position before ruling, even though he ruled against my client.
