Very even-handed and serious. Displays no favoritism. Takes his time making rulings, listening to all arguments. As fair a judge as I have ecountered.

Judge Ozzi has seen the law from all sides - as a court attorney for many years in Richmond and now as a judge. I would say that he probably knows more lawyers on a first name basis than any other judge in NYC courts. He is fair to out of county lawyers and he is fair with local attorneys. If he sees a dispute that can be worked out, he gently nudges the lawyers to go out in the hallway and figure it out. His decisions are usually fair and they reflect common sense (no shooting from the hip with this judge).
