Just finished a trial before Judge David Cohen. He is in Supreme NY at 71 Thomas. All I have to say is that it was a pleasure trying the case before him. He is reasonable and very knowledgeable about evidentiary issues. I know a lot of judges who unnecessarily give attorneys a hard time. Judge Cohen is respectful and when he does let you have it, just take it because you probably deserve it. I didn’t mind the adverse rulings that much because his rationale is sound. I felt like we had a very fair trial. I believe my adversary feels the same. He is also instrumental in settlement talks. Be very happy if your case is assigned to him.

In my limited experience Judge Cohen seems to know the law and follow it. He gives the impression that his sympathies are proplaintiff but in my limited experience he will still rule against plaintiff if the law requires. Good judge. We need more of them here in NY.

After selecting a jury, we were assigned to his part. J. Cohen expertly brought the two sides together and settled an unsettleable case. He was courteous to all sides and was fair and impartial. A true class act. I hope to be before him in the future.

DAVID COHEN WHEN PRESIDING IN FAMILY COURT SHOWED A BIAS AND PREJUDICIAL ATTUDE TOWARDS ME AS REFLECTED IN HIS DECISIONS. HE ABUSES HIS POWER! HE DID NOT CONDUCT HIMSELF IN AN HONORABLE WAY!
