` New York's Family Court operates on a tiny handful of policy points: child abuse/neglect, illegal relocation, parental alienation, and child support. One can quickly surmise the junk judge from how the judge limits her inquiry into those few points. That means the judge does not know anything else about family law.

Another indication of mediocrity is the judge's goal of setting up the litigants to cut their losses and settle their case without trial and without appeal. This technique bedevils the entire nation, and is the scourge of family law everywhere. Facts are supressed, records are not made, and chaos results.

Waksberg will always make the wrong decision because she only knows the policy points and only aims for settlement, not trial. The savvy lawyer who presents his case based on those points will win, and the opponent will win on appeal. She has no idea how to rule on objections and cannot cogently write an order. A passerby in the street can do a better job of judging that Waksberg can.

However, she is by no means the worst. Waksberg means to do well and aims to create the correct result, but she never does. Where the details of the case get too complex, she shuts down and grabs her head. Thankfully a family court judge in the City of New York is limited to a ten year appointment. Maybe some mayor down the line will not reappoint her, but the risk is always that New Yorkers will get a worse judge, and that is always a possibility given the junk out there that seeks judicial nominations.

Craziest Judge in New York was appointed by her friend DeBlasio.. now being pushed from court to court around New York… they do not know what to do with her… drug testing and mental health evaluations should be adapted by the court system … judges in New York not even drug tested

What can you expect from someone who made a career from a class-action lawsuit, and DeBlasio appointed her. She biased; she does not know the law, and why does she grab her head so much during court proceedings? She probably has some mental ailments that she has not reported she needs to retire. Another thing to she is allergic to evidence!

She's too lenient, father does whatever he wants because he knows there's no consequences. She refuses to look at evidence. Her lawyer is very biased, prefers fathers. The lawyer once screeched at me to shut up, I wasn't even acting in any manner that warranted that. I was also forced to share my address that I wanted to remain confidential from the other party. She as well as the other judges threaten you and strong arm you into settling with something you're not in agreement with instead of giving you the right to proceed to trial.

Your a horrible judge who breaks up families and hates men. I see you send court officers to threaten innocent family members in the hallway for money for child support that is not for their own kid. It is not a crime to be broke and not pay your bills. You go too far threatening jail when people cant feed their kids. I feel your wrong to threaten people with jail that are poor or just don't have the money. That's what welfare is for. To help people who cant help themselves. Stop threatening family members sitting in the court room hallways for cash for a kid that is not yours. Give them welfare like everyone else gets. Your wrong.

Only favors women only. Does not make a women go to work and also support her own child. Has court officers in her court room come out to hallway and threaten innocent family members that their loved ones are going to jail if they don't pay 8000 dollars in child support in 3 minutes. She needs to tell people go to work for your child. Not just men. Women too must work. You want to have kids? You need to work. She hurts the family unit putting people in jail for lack of child support. Help them get jobs don't jail them
